no that's just your personality and lack of discipline. in the 1920s you'd still be distracted, just by something else.
>>7471885
you're just a loser.
winners use technology to help them get ahead.
haven't you ever wondered why some people succeed and others never do? how does this feel right now? let it sink in. the most you can hope for in this life is to not be directly responsible for someone else's death. then at least people will not say you were a bad person. merely a worthless one.
>>7471903
Well hey, that's one way to do it.
But can you break your own chains, anon?
>>7471945
inb4 not being bad and worthless is a spook

I'm trying to find a balance.

"Trying to find a balance" is just the way we fool ourselves into wasting time with these trivialities.
I've been "trying to find a balance" for years. Nothing feels better than just quitting everything except reading and work, but it's too hard and so I fall back into this slump and convince myself that I deserve some freetime to do banal shit.
I have to quit completely or I fall into ruin.

no, you just have made habits out of those things and they're compulsive behavior when you're in reach of your computer.
wondering if technology has anything to do with it is proof that you're looking for excuses and that is probably just another compulsive behavior...
but you conditioned yourself this way, and with discipline you can condition yourself to habitually do the things that are really important to you.
