What are some books that deal with complex relationships / friendships? Written in the first person narrative?
I recently realized that I adore stories that deal with complex relationships and complex situations with people.
I don't really read books, but I'm willing to give this to shot if you guys can recommend me some shit. If I want to find this type of content I would imagine books are the place to go.
I want to go on a on emotional rollercoaster where you can feel the emotion of falling inlove through the words.
How the Grinch stole christmas
a book with relationships and situations, that are complex... hmmm

Poetry or fiction?
For poetry, I'd say grab Sifting Through The Madness
For fiction, I'd say Women or Factotum.
I don't mean to sound like a retard, but is it just me, or is secularism becoming increasingly anti-intellectual? It seems like it was very intellectual back in Foucault's day, but now it's trending more toward Sam Harris and SJW's and misogynistic libertarians.
Sam Harris is an intellectual
It's still better than being retarded and believing in any god.

Modern progressivism is modeled after calvinist protestantism. Read up someMencius Moldbugfor an intro in how it came to that.
Just read this. Fucking awesome. What are some of the best "Choose your own adventure" type books?
Why is this type of genre not more popular?
And why are the vast majority of the titles geared toward kids?
"Choose your own adventure General", I guess.
flann o'brien was working on what was basically a choose-your-own-adventure book when he died, but they havent published it.
>"Choose your own adventure General"
Also, "Goosebumps General"

Worth the time and effort until you start getting erotic
At which point you might as well watch porn for the plot
I'd prefer not to.

If you don't empathize deeply with this quote, if it doesn't strike a chord with the inner child that all of us have, then idk what the fuck you're doing on the /lit/ board, go shitpost about the ez tv you just wasted 5 hours binge watching.

Has anyone here written an erotic novel for extra money?
How's the pay? Do they expect quality work or can you write the novel in a single night whilst drunk?
Isn't the market pretty saturated already so to speak? People also provide that stuff for free on literotica and other sites. Still I'd be interested to know if I could make my hobby pay :^)

I made a ton of progress by following King's hard-nosed work ethic for several months. I don't think I can write my best work that rapidly but it was really good practice and I'm glad he convinced me to do it.
That chapter where King just shits on the guy who ran him over with a van was dank as fuck.
>>7227131
Haha yeah he's bitter as hell, even includes the guy's name
