Read it and find out, you fucking idiot
>Doritos, light of my life, cheese on my fingers. My hunger, my munchies. Do-ree-toes: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Do. Ree. Tos. It was chips, plain chips, during lunch, weighing one-point-eight ounces in one hand. It was Nacho Cheese for snacks. It was Cool Ranch at school. It was Salsa Verde in the shopping line. But in my mouth it was always Doritos.
If you need to be "convinced", most of it is going way over your head
It's a 3/5 anyway
Dan Schneider claims to have written 1500 genuinely great poems. By comparison, the greatest published poet of all time, Rainer Maria Rilke, has only 77: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJrj7WvTt8Y
This makes Dan Schneider a literary genius the likes of which the world has never before seen. Hard to believe? Read his poems and judge for yourself: http://cosmoetica.com/Poetrylinks.htm
I'd link a specific one, but that shouldn't matter, as they're all supposedly great. His wife, of course, is the second greatest poet of all time: http://www.cosmoetica.com/Jessica%20Schneider.htm

*hides thread
Is this some sort of archaic meme or something? I saw this guy and looked through his website once before after seeing Roger Ebert on his blog reply to some guys email that said the email writer and his buddy had been arguing about whether Dan Schneider was a better film critic than Roger Ebert, and the guy basically told Ebert that Schneider was the greatest film critic of all time.
I looked on Schneider's website and I couldn't make fucking heads or tails of what the whole thing was about. Please redpill me on Dan Schneider.
Who was in the wrong?
>>8287739
The painter, for creating a visual representation of the dilemma and therefore forcing it on the viewer to analyze.
More recently, OP for posting this shitty thread that's basically a hoity-toity reimagining of "The Game".
>>8287751
You just lost friend
>>8287739
Fuck Turnus that little bitch
Jesus this board is filled with pseuds just like any other place on the internet
>>8287710
Hey bitch about more bro, maybe it'll change
>>8287710
It's difficult coming on /lit/ because of it.
Chew the meat and spit out the bone. Accept the fact that there's plenty of pseudo intellectuals on here and ignore them.
>>8287710
How about you try submitting some worthy content then instead of this piece of shit thread
Found this book in my church. Thoughts?
You should give it back.
Stealing from your church is bad karma.
>>8287628
>Thoughts?
I'm drunk and I wish I was still with my Ex and I feel guilty every day of that because I'm in a 3 year relationship with the most perfect-on-paper girl I've ever met
>thoughts on your post
Idk seems cool
>>8287628
My first thought is
>Church
My second thought is
>Can't Stumpf the Drumpf
That's it I'm cutting you off.
>It's an "Anon read alone in bed on a Saturday night" chapter
I need a solo chapter. Protagonist takes story hostage
why would you read in your bed if you don't like that sort of thing?

This is the life tho! Summertime, it's warm, the window's open, a breeze is blowing, the Grateful Dead are playing, I have a cold drink close at hand, and I'm rereading The Hobbit for the millionth time. Comfy as fuck, yo.
I will bet anyone on this image board $100 U.S. dollars that he talks about or writes about Pokemon Go in some capacity before the conclusion of this year.
>>8287531
Any response to your would constitute talking about Pokemon Go in at least some capacity.
I already have. Some people mentioned it to me. I installed it and realized it was stupid. Fun stuff.
I continue to remind people that Pokemon Go is almost 99% a reskin of a previous Nianta project that totally flopped. Without the brand recognition of Google and Pokemon, the product is insipid. It's purely superficial. It is not the first and it will certainly not be the last, however it brings nothing to the table in its design, gameplay, or design style.
>>8287531
Debord and Baudrillard already did it
>>8287556
he means Zizek you stupid man
What's /lit/'s opinion about the King James 1611 bible?
>>8287451
>Not knowing Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek to read the Bible as it was meant to be read
idk how do YOU think we feel about it?
>>8287474
I don't care about feelings. I need full opinions. You seem to be of those against it. Is it that perverted?
>>8287481
Sorry we only do feelings here. If you want well-founded opinions you're going to need to upgrade to 4chan+.
Yo but who IS john galt?
a libertarian creampuff
4chan needs italics bruh
i forget the quote but somewhere in the book theres a long rant about who exactly he is. something about "he is the man who stopped the motor of the world" i think. good book regardless i just dont remember
>birthday today
>gf knows I read a lot
>she got me fucking paper towns by john green because "it's what the girl at the bookstore told me was popular now"
Should I dump this bitch?
post pics
Naw
Happy birthday btw, anon
Nope, you read it, then give her a book for her birthday. With time she'll learn your tastes, don't be a moron, she can't read minds
why do I keep hearing that literature degree is a waste if you want to learn how to write?
if literature in college is basically learning cultural marxism and feminists analisis of classical books, where the fuck do I learn about the techniques of good writing?
fuck.
>>8287248
stop coming to this website.
>>8287251
to where?
reddit and facebook?
>>8287248
Just like any other skill, to get better you need to practise. If you want to get better at writing, you need to write more.
the weird frontier between post irony and new sincerity are these millennials the saviors of literature?
>>8287182
There's Ellen Kennedy, I haven't laid eyes on her/him in a long time. Him now, I suppose. I have his first book on Muu Muu house.
They're drug-addled degenerates obsessed only with their own genitals. Anyone with a Twitter or a Facebook will never produce anything of any real merit. The real saviors of literature will be reactionary weirdos who fetishize the early Modernists.
>>8287182
literature is about to be rendered obsolete by a psychedelic onslaught of hyperreal dreamtime memes
What is the best book for teaching yourself latin? I saw this at my local used bookstore, but was reluctant to buy it in case there was something better.
I recall seeing a similar thread where someone mentioned that Wheelcock was a good start, and they mentioned some others as well, but I can't remember who or what or why.
>>8287177
Wheelock is good for grammar.
Lingua Latina is a book written entirely in latin, but the early chapters are latin that's so easy to read anyone could do it. "Italia in Europa est", so on. It gets more complex and introduces authors and poets.
>>8287177
Good luck buddy. Latin is difficult. Not at all like learning a romance or germanic language.
>>8287547
What makes it so difficult?
What are your opinions on this collection?
I thought it was good for a young poet's first collection, but was severely lacking in substance.
Do think rupi kaur has potential given how young and inexperienced she is as a poet. A refreshing take on modern gender issues. Do not like how it reads like a Tumblr blog and it does spout some of the same trite memes.
>>8287173
shes a talentless hack trust funded by her parents to promote this garbage
Shit, did you actually made this thread, I can't even believe.
she has some interesting imagery and the like but she has no classical training as a poet and has no understanding of convention meaning she has no concept of what can be considered fresh or unique in poetry
i mean 7.5/10 would smash but eh
Hey /lit/ I' invoking your help in writing a research proposal. I have never written one but it is my last chance or hero. No job, no girl, no prospects...only choice is grad school (phd). But I need a research project in cultural studies. Please /lit/ give some ideas about a topic that sounds interesting about Latin American culture so I get the admission to a local university. Thank you

ur girls hab biig butts :)
very nice for me
i rly like girl stinks. have u made any nice girl stinks today? mmh, make a nice girlstink for me with ur girlholes
real advice:
humanities PhD are horrible prospects from a life and career and financial perspective. people do them if they truly autistically love a certain topic and are OK with making a lot of sacrifices for it.
there are almost no options following a PhD if it isn't from a top school (ivy or equivalent) and it's a hard life even then.
doing a PhD at a local uni in cultural studies because you have no other life plans is a HORRIBLE idea, especially if you don't even know what you want to focus on and need to ask us.
don't throw...
