How far away is the United States of America from legalizing Jim Crow laws for people of the LGBT community?

I know Georgia governor was about to sign a bill which Disney threatens to stop shooting in the state if he did that gave businesses legal right to discriminate toward gays and trannies.

How far away are full blown Jim Crow laws?

quit fear mongering you stupid faggot. better put more tinfoil on your head to keep the aliens from reading your thoughts
>>
What the fuck are you talibg about? Lots of people are social media activists and literally protest to end bullshit. Also, gay marriage is already legal so get real.

probably pretty far.

theoretically, if a republican won the presidential election, and no seats changed hands in congress, we could get a bunch of conservative justices in that might let shit like that through, but...

judges aren't obligated to rule along party lines, so obvious bullshit would be right out. anti-gay stuff is pretty obviously getting to be a taboo with a majority of people, so I would expect that a lot of people would try to vote out somebody who made a name for themselves by being anti-gay. and then you have larger corporations swooping in to white knight on the off chance that it'll make them more popular with consumers. basically, everybody save /pol/ types would have to sit around and twiddle their thumbs for vehemently anti-gay legislation to pass.

anti-trans "jim crow" stuff probably could've gotten pushed through in the last 2 decades, but I think people are juuuust accepting enough that really intense anti-trans legislation would have a lot of backlash. that said, bathroom bills are cropping up everywhere, and will likely continue to do so until the supreme court tells all these stale legislatures to cut it the fuck out.

But aren't what trannies want to do the equivalent of Jim Crow laws anyways?

Special bathrooms, special locker rooms, special privileges, etc.

>>5912784
It's not going to happen you dumb faggot. Kill yourself.
Private businesses \neq government

So basically the LGBT civil rights movement had it a little bit easier than the black civil rights movement?

Does this mean that they should check their privileges?

Every prominent lgbt civil rights person has acknowledge the lgbt civil rights movement isn't comparable to the black civil rights movement. Only /pol/ people making strawmen bring that comparison up. There's not actually a pissing contest over this shit.

Not anywhere near close enough
>>
Arizona might be the first and only state to establish Jim Crow laws for gays.
>>

Governor Deal isn't going to sign that stupid bill. He knows how much it would cripple doing business in the state just to appease Bumfuck County that no one has ever been to. Doing anything to seriously threaten the economy of Atlanta will fail.

Because people who were enslaved in the past had it so much worse then those that were hunted and killed, and those that have trouble getting accepted into college or work or housing have it so much worse then those that have all that, plus are very likely to be made homeless before they reach the age of 15 by their own parents for existing. Because a group that used to have people taking away their rights have it so much worse then a group that is just starting to get a few rights, and have to fight every step of the way for them. Amirite?

Probably about the same time that people are forced to make homosexual wedding cakes.

Oh wait, it's only bad when it happens to you.
>>
>>5912784
We just passed a law letting gays vote, we're way past jim crow type laws.

Marry*
Not vote.
>>

For the most part, trannies don't want anything special. They just want what their cis sisters and brothers have.

>>5917975
You think the entirety of Jim Crow was black bakers having to cater for KKK rallies?
>>
>>5918230
Actually, letting gay people vote is already way past Jim Crow type stuff.

>>5918513
Oh well, if you want to start making direct comparisons, gay people weren't exactly dragged to this country and forced to work.
>>
>>5918532
lol, no, gay people were not the weaklings who lost every fight inbetween Africa and here, where their more dominant and successful African cousins avoided failure. Gay people are born everywhere, and for most of human history have been cut off from anyone like them or any sort of culture or education about themselves, except the damaging lies that straight people tell, and then usually one day when in a fit of teenage hormonal excitement they had gay sex with the first and last gay person they met, they were overwhelmed by dozens or hundreds of straight people and murdered.

I, as a gay African-American man, think the black civil rights movement was merely just a bunch of niggers screaming over bullshit while the LGBT movement had more serious discrimination. #EuthanizeTheBlacks!

Especially now when companies such as Disney and Netflix said they will boycott?

wow you live in a delusional fantasy world. life must be tough for you, and it has nothing to do with your sexual orientation.

>Using Jim Crow in this context.
Read a book faggot you don't know what you are talking about. If you did you would not be using Jim Crow to push your bullshit.
Jim Crow would be the state passing laws requiring businesses to discriminate.
This law is saying that the state has not right to mandate how owners run their business at all.
Piss off with your poor baiting and divisive bullshit.

As a nigger, I can confirm >>5918612 as accurate.
