They are a mixed bag. My "horror" ones are hardly scary, but the fantasy ones are ok. I wrote a lot of lore for them actually, they're all set in the same world (the fantasy ones I mean) just from different perspectives. The lore can be confusing tho, I need to write an official document on it, I only have it written and drawn in bits and pieces. What I mean is, the lore is complete (in my head mostly), just the documentation of it is scattered

A Smith & Wesson M&P-15 Sport is a decent quality AR-15 for a low price ($500 or less), so it's definitely not too expensive or difficult to make a setup like that happen.

That's cool. Don't fall into the worldbuilding trap though, make sure you write stuff using that material. Too many people build an entire world from scratch without sitting down and telling stories. They don't have to be long; 500-1000 words is fine. Just build up to it.
