I don't think people take him that seriously considering he doesn't take himself seriously either. We're now living in period that hasn't been seen since the 60s, young people being more into politics and what's happening around them, clear gap between generations and opinions concerning social issues. He's like those cult leaders that used to be liberal/left-wing back then but like he says conservatism is now radical(though I don't think he's conservative, he just says so).
