What i know about calibrating is that, when you play your ten matches it brings you up or down based on your gpm, xpm and your k.d. if you perform better or worse than a given average. This means its more beneficial to play a kill heavy carry hero in your calibration matches (even tho i really prefer support)
But where you start is determined by an invisible rating number given to you during your pub matches before you are allowed to calibrate.
The fact that i get two or three k players in my pubs alongside people who have never played a game and dont know that ancients have magic immunity tells me I'm not quote ready to calibrate.
I've played only oracle for three days and as long as someone on my team knows what they're doing i win.
