Ok so I am the type of person who never goes to the dr unless it's something serious. Obviously, pursuing transition was serious, though I did put it off for a few years out of anxiety for medical stuff and costs and all that.
Anyway, before starting hrt, my natural testosterone level was 69 and I recently got my first blood test since then to see where my levels are now after 6mo of injecting T each week. Dr calls me like "Anon, your testosterone level is 922. Did we mess up and take your blood on your injection day?" I tell her it had been three days since an injection when she took my blood. She asks if I have been injecting .5ml weekly as directed and I admit I've been injecting .35ml weekly for about two months because I worried about the stress on my vocal chords. She's really confused how my T levels are that high then and now, so am I. We agree to bring it down to .2ml weekly and I need to get tested again in 2mo.

Do you have chest surgery on the horizon at any point? I had been benching for about 5 months until I had to stop for phalloplasty. Either way I would tell you to work out as soon as possible - assuming you want a muscular physique - but if you're doing it to try and minimise how much your tits look like tits then it might be worth just waiting until you have chest surgery - if you are planning on getting it done.
The reason I say that is because it will take a while to form substantial muscle anyway - you see what I'm saying? As I understand it (what I've learned from /fit/) if you're shorter you might gain muscle a bit quicker anyway but again depends on timing.
From my own experience, though, I would say why bother? I too was very flat - the difference between us is that whereas yours look rounded mine never really did - i had the cone tits of a 3 month mtf - but I don't think that should be important. Essentially, I never needed to bind and nor did I ever get any undue attention for having a slight bulge in the chest - perhaps people just assumed it was pecs anyway? So I think you could getaway with it. Unless you like wearing ultra tight things anyway.

If you want to be muscular then go for it. That might sound a little odd but I'm asking because a few people here have said they prefer an andro/ slim build. I'm not working out currently because I'm still recovering from phallo but I will be starting again once I'm healed. It's been about 3 weeks since I stopped and I can see loss of muscle in my body - which is something you'll have to deal with too because you have to give it about 6 weeks before you can go back to the gym . I would advise you to start anyway, if possible, because it's good to learn what works and what you struggle with - but if you're the sort of person who might get really frustrated to see your hard work whither away once you're out, well, yeah, just a heads up.
Fat redistribution should help in time though it's not going to magical hips away completely. I would reccomendations you look into a programme like starting strength or strong lifts (lifts which work the whole body) and don't use machines. They will have you squatting a lot but trust me, within a month you can see results and they give you muscle definition to your leg - which, even if you're concerned about having big thighs in the first place, obviously looks more masculine because muscle.
Make sure you eat well too - remember your body is also going through puberty and you eant plenty of fuel and protein is essential to build muscle. Starting strength will reccomendation you eat a fuck load because being strong =/= being not fat, but be sensible if you're worried about getting too chubby. Calculate a surplus - relative to your height and weight - of calories and yeah plenty kf protein

There are plenty of ftms that conform to traditional masculinity. You just don't notice them because the alternative ftms are a lot more common because its the fucking internet. There are a lot more alternative everything.
Even if you're 100% masculine then people just accuse you of overcompensating. And honestly if your confidence revolves masculinity I'd be inclined to agree. I think if you asked about 'masculinity' without trans people in mind, a lot of people would say that a masculine guy is confident enough to be whoever he wants to be and not give a fuck what others think. So the idea of just saying 'fuck traditional masculinity' is at least understandable if nothing else.
As for me 'masculinity' is as simple as standing by your values and providing/protecting the people you care about. But I think that could go for 'femininity' too, so I guess it's more important to me to just be a good person. As long as I'm taking care of the people I love I don't care what happens to me, or what people say about me. I grow out my beard and work out because it makes me happy, not because I feel inadequate if I don't.
And I don't think there's only one way of being masculine, so I don't judge other guys, or compare myself to them. I try to emulate men I admire rather than gender roles. Jefferson, Tesla, Roosevelt. Hell, one of my biggest role models is Mr. Rogers.
I would say same thing goes for you though. You aren't insecure about your masculinity, you're insecure about yourself in general. And confidence is a lot like happiness- 90% of it is a state of mind. If you woke up tomorrow without all the flaws you obsess over now, you'd just find something else to feel insecure about.

Yeah I have noticed that too, despite I don't intend to stare at other guys' chests. That's probably the only thing that has kept my dysphoria in check over the years, as I was blessed with masculine features in the rest of my physique that T is further refining.

It's easier to not care as much about masculine things because girls are allowed to do masculine stuff and it acceptable, so ftm's growing up don't have to really hide their "masculine" hobbies whereas mtf's probably would get a lot of shit if they like anything feminine. I'm kind of feminine in how I look and my hobbies are about neutral. Used to be obsessed with being perceived as manly, but after sufficient amounts of acid I realized that masculinity is bullshit, an unattainable goal for everyone (my cis friends also struggled with it) and once I let go of that I became so much happier. And I'm saying this as someone who is more "traditionally masculine" than a lot of ftms- I've never dyed my hair or wore makeup in my entire life, among other things.
But I used to have anxiety about stupid shit such as enjoying rainbow colors and "girl games" like pokemon.

Go a month or so without shaving. See how thick you can get it and if you really aren't satisfied with the natural look, try shaving it into a style you can live with. For example, just having hair on the chin rather than a 'full beard' might help you to pass and you might prefer it seeing as you say you don't suit full facial hair.
