in the same situation and i don't have a real answer that has worked for me but perhaps
1. do stuff in the same vicinity as a lot of gay people, art, music, theater, w/e
2. hang out with the alternative crowd where there are more gay people
3. lean on the gayer side of fashion, although like people have said this can be more challenging in different regions. my roommate's from california and swears that what people in virginia think is totally gay is acceptably not gay back in cali
4. it's a pretty clear sign that a guy is gay if he hangs out exclusively with girls
i still rarely talk to other gay people and don't get laid tho so
