I'm getting sued by a MtF trans woman
Background: I just recently graduated from my residency and passed my boards.
I am a male OB/GYN fresh out of residency. 6 months ago I got a job at a private clinic. The patients are largely middle to upper class, and I love my job.
Since i'm a new doctor, the vast majority of the patients I see are for gyno and not obstetrics.
As a male gyno, naturally I get fewer patients. Our clinic has 4 full time MDs, 3 of which are women and me, who replaced a male doctor who was very much loved by the community.
Here is my issue: I'm being sued
As a male OB/GYN, I've faced a lot of hardships. There has to be a female nurse on hand for all the examinations for legal reasons. A lot of women prefer to wait months for the female doctors rather than see me. I can totally understand that.
The reason i'm being sued is because of a MtF trans patient. This person came for a pelvic exam two weeks ago. Immediately, this patient was hostile when I asked perfectly routine questions that I ask of any patient. A lot of their medical history was blank and it took a long time for me to piece together the information needed to give an accurate diagnosis.
From my standpoint, there was very little I could do for them. I specialize in female anatomy. A normal pelvic exam involves looking at the vagina, cervix, then examining the womb and ovaries....none of which this patient had.
So, i'm currently being sued for discrimination, from a patient who literally did not have the biological parts that I specialize in.
What should I do,

Lawyer up, if the matter cannot be resolved to both your satisfaction and they drag you into court, then go to court and win if it's really as clear cut as you paint it, though and again assuming this is even real, the other person might paint a different story, and we are ill equipped to examine your case on fucking 4 chan bro. I'd settle the case and move on. you're not going to win. civil rights law is really fashionable and lucrative right now and if your patient can get support from any of the big firms your private practice is no match. but then again you should really talk to a lawyer lol

Well, for starters, I assume you know basic male anatomy? Did you know the person was mtf? If so ask if they had bottom surgery before asking them about their vagina, kek.
They were probably there to see if you'd prescribe hormones or something.
Other than that I guess ask if they have a name they go by and if they go by he or she. I'm no doctor though, lol, look up the WPATH SoC v7 if you want medical guidelines for trans care.

Well I'm pre-op, so I would expect little more than blood tests, prescriptions, and basic courtesy.
Post op, examining the neovag for any signs of infection, injury, or ill health, perhaps advice on dilation routine, and lucky you get to skip a bunch of steps no doubt.
Some bitches be scared of the doctors in general, good bedside manner means putting up with some bullshit and bitchy behavior, up to a point.
If you're at a loss perhaps ask the patient "anything else I can do for you." If they were just insisting on routine pelvic examination, perform routine pelvic examination, if anything stands out as looking like it requires additional testing, do so, if not tell them "yup looks good, go away now" and you're done.
I'm starting to wonder, if you're legit, you might actually be in the wrong on a count of being a socially inept retard, and doing or saying something weird, if you really need such basic principles of dealing with customers/patients/whatever you like to call them.

Honestly, I think this patient was on some kind of ideological crusade to get themselves fully recognized as a woman. I understand that, but I was the unfortunate doctor who had to treat them.

If you are that 1%, here's my official final answer on advice to you. Get a good lawyer, and let them do ALL of the talking, because if this is how you actually describe what went down, you're going to lose spectacularly in court the moment you open that mouth of yours, unless your opponent somehow out-morons you.
