well, the first and hardest part is that you're sort of doing it for yourself. Even if I can't be fully stealth and blend in like a cis girl I'm happier being as female as I can be.

Not everyone gets SRS, but in a lot of cases the dick makes you really unconfortable. Many times you start noticing it much more once you can safely look at yourself in the mirror. You can wait all you want to get it, there's no difference there. In general if you pass you'll get partners much easily if you have female parts, though, very few people like dick girls (unless they really go after it, and they tend to be creepy guys just like someone that obsesses over any particular part of your body).
How well you pass ends up being a gene issue in most cases. Some start early and look like men, some start late and pass in less than a year. But the sooner the better, of course.
