I think FTM has is easier than say a MTF in terms of acceptance. Even in the closet, a girl can easily say, "I prefer wearing guys clothing", more easily than say a guy saying "I prefer wearing girls clothing" without getting their teeth kicked in. It's also easier because girls are expected to express things like this. Girls are more openly bi/gay than most guys because of social norms. Guys however, are expected to me more buff and rough and tough. They aren't allowed to express feelings without being seen as gay or shamed for it. However, surgery wise, MtFs have it easier since it's only the one surgery, and get it over and done with. FtMs have to under go more surgery and more complicated ones at that.
