This isn't necessarily true, although I'm not interested in one-night stands or casually sexual relationships, so a lot of guys seeking me out do wind up not being options based on that.

I think it's pretty clear that your assumptions are that trans women aren't pretty enough to get straight guys in normal social environments, as well as all straight men would be repulsed by trannies.
I can understand your first assumption, since so many visible trannies don't meet your standards for what constitutes an attractive female to you. But it is false it assume that all trannies fit this demograph. In fact, some trannies are smoking fucking hot.
I can understand your second assumption, since many straight men do have a fragile sense of their own sexuality, conflated with a culture of homophobia, which by adulthood will have been well internalized. But is false to assume that all straight men fit this demograph. In fact, some straight men aren't so insecure as to not fuck what they find attractive.

I personally don't care if my partner is a chaser or not, but I don't need to seek out chasers specifically. As for why other trans women don't like chasers, I would guess it has something to do with the difference in how they act. I don't mind chasers who can act like the rest of the straight male population. Unfortunately for many (and it sounds like you too) most do not act normal. They act weird and fetishy. Their preconceived ideas about trannies are derived almost exclusively from porn. These unrealistic expectations are off putting. They also act desperate and bitter (I'd be too if I were in your shoes) which is also a huge turn off.
