>do people at work know youre trans?
Yup.
>if so, are you treated differently?
More liberal peeps try and tiptoe around my feelings, most people don't give a fuck except for a few older people who don't say shit to my face because they know I'll report them to HR.
>do you feel that you can succeed in a career as a trans person?
Yeah. Big smart people jobs like the tech industry/science are generally educated enough to not give a fuck, most big name stores/fast food places have anti-discrimination policies even if you're state doesn't, and most people, at least most young people nowadays, plain do not give a fuck. I live in southern conservative ass Texas, and no one my age who knows about me gives a fuck, the most negative reactions I've gotten to coming out as trans to someone my age was a person being slightly surprised because she didn't expect it beforehand.

N/A, but will get a job in college

>do people at work know youre trans?
Yes

>if so, are you treated differently?
A bit, because I'm perceived as male now. People were more emotional with me before and now I'm a bit more on my own. I've gotten used to it though.

>do you feel that you can succeed in a career as a trans person?
Absolutely. I want to go stealth when I get a real career though because I want to be treated as a normal man.

Transitioning

Not much, I got to school full time

>do people at work know youre trans?
Yes

>if so, are you treated differently?
It's hard to tell. I actually started transitioning and went full time while i had this job. People still mostly treat me like a guy because that's how they met me, but everyone is very sweet and i never feel patronized which is nice. It's going well overall I would say considering nobody treats me like shit.

>do you feel that you can succeed in a career as a trans person?
Absolutely. Do you mean if you don't pass? If you're stealth I mean obviously you can as well as anyone else. In academic positions and corporate positions especially, there tend to be rules about discriminating based on gender identity, and even if there aren't they know that you could make a case. Also, to be completely honest, in most professional environments nobody gives a shit at all. Toxic coworkers maybe, management? Probably not.

I found it interesting to read, not OP though. Maybe they're anxious about coming out at their job and are looking for positivity.

Mostly-closeted, masculine presenting.

Food and water.

>do people at work know youre trans?
Haven't officially worked yet, so I'll just say my father knows.

>if so, are you treated differently?
He accepts it sort of, but still treats me like a little girl. I've told him to stop plenty of times, but now I just grin and bear it. Best to not make things more awkward.

>do you feel that you can succeed in a career as a trans person?
I sure hope so, but I don't want to get my hopes up too high. I'm a clumsy failure to begin with; I doubt transitioning will change that much.

n/a

>>do you feel that you can succeed in a career as a trans person?
yes but it depends a lot on the industry and where you live
>>

ftm
mostly transitioned/transitioning. basically everything besides the surgeries
20
Student (undergrad) + CNA (for grad school experience hours) + retail job I got just for the summer
I make enough money that I don't have to ask my mom for any. I just don't spend most of it so I can blow it on a masectomy.
I am not worried about being trans in the field I am pursuing, in healthcare. Most people in the field are liberal and don't care.

Femboy mode and enjoying it for now. Id have no problems living like this the rest of my life and i dont know if I will ever fully transition even if i can. Did hormones for a year, went off them for 8 months, and then I've been back on them for 7 months or so.

Lol
>do people at work know youre trans?
At my last job word got out that I was a faggot, but not that I was a tranny. It was pretty damn obvious that I was homo though, but only after confirmation of that fact did the shit start to fly.
>if so, are you treated differently?
I was harassed verbally by my manager and also always given the shit end of the stick. Had to do the lions share of the work including many manager duties. I was the night manager, but still given more than what I originally was intended to do. Everyone else got to be lazy. They were constantly trying to fire me. I eventually said fuck it and quit and I've been jobless since living off my bf.
>do you feel that you can succeed in a career as a trans person?
Probably, as long as your region has the proper legal protections, unlike mine.
>>

About half way, I've had some surgery and changed my name to something neutral, but I'm shy and not emotionally ready.

Yes, but it's a topic that hasn't come up

I don't believe so
>do you feel that you can succeed in a career as a trans person?
Yes, but old timers may treat you differently or give you a "hard time" if you are a trans woman. I've been hit on and harassed a lot
