I had been unsure because her character on Glee mostly just annoyed me. But as Kara/Supergirl she knocks it out of the freaking park. Full range of emotions and everything is believable.

Benoist's acting on Supergirl has been really awesome. I love that they've given her some good opportunities to shine, too. When hit with Red K, the way she just sloooooooowly went fucking nuts was really well-done on her part. And when she got to play Martian Manhunter pretending to be her, she disappeared so completely into David Harewood's mannerisms it was easy to forget she's the actual Supergirl actress. Very good work.

I think if it was done as well as Supergirl it would do really well. I think they have the opposite problem in that they're not copying Marvel enough. The irony is that DC used to be more light overall than Marvel, but Marvel had such success with the popcorn style movies DC seems to think they need to take another tack.
I think that's why they stuck with Nolan and then went with Snyder. I also thought the Nolan trilogy was mostly not great.

I get where you're coming from. But the reality is that the TV show is still kind of niche. I would love for the whole world to see what a great character this is.

I got bullied so bad I had to be taken to the hospital once, and was knocked out twice. I ended up beating up three larger girls who were twice my size who kept bullying me in the locker room. That's because Watchmen had sex and killing. Regular comics were boring for Snyder. Which he said in interview about Watchmen.
He also said that Batman from Dark Knight trilogy is not dark, but badass. And if HE would make dark Batman story, it would include Bruce being raped.
