Why are there so few? Politics aside every gay guy I've met has been a quintessential faggot. Sure, I like dick too but I don't need to blare it from the rooftops and wave around huge rainbow dildos. There are plenty of them out there, they're just camoflauged by the shadow of the larger number of more or less masculine heterosexual men.
Put it to you this way, would you be able to indentify yourself as homosexual if you were to meet yourself on the street, at work, etc?
If you figure maybe 1/10 traditionally masculine men you come into contact with is gay or bi, you're meeting plenty of the types of men you're interested in you're just not realizing it.

Ignoring the fact that everything you said is a load of horseshit, the reason there aren't more "gay conservatives" is because of the Religious Right. Conservatism became tied to the hip with fundamentalist religion. It's not at all shocking that people wouldn't align themselves with a party that openly hates them, or at least is in bed with those who do.
That dynamic can and will change. Trump is very clearly not religious and his attempts to appeal to Christians have been laughably transparent, so it's no surprise that he's pro-LGBT. But of course, he had to backpedal pretty much immedately afterwards, because he's still technically running for the nomination. It's very likely that he will immediately "swing to the left" on a lot of social issues after clinching the nomination.

Bait, because anyone who has actually gone out in the gay dating world knows that gays like fitness way more than the general population. I live in a super liberal city and almost everyone has decent muscle definition. And the stereotype of "huge rainbow dildos" is nonexistent. Basically in the 80s the crowd that insisted homosexuality was genetic, or the born with it crowd, won the most mandates. These were the beginnings of the LGBT merged with the social justice crowd you see today.
The other side, the choice side, isn't really understood today. Because there were people that felt that it was beyond the point whether or not we were born that way, but our autonomy means we get to make choices for our own lives.
This is the group that didn't want to shout it from the roofs or go in parades, this was the group that wanted individual rights not rights as a sexual minority. But they lost and so you can't really see them today except online, if even then.
