>"North Carolina did something [that] was very strong. And they’re paying a big price and there's a lot of problems," Trump said during an NBC town hall when asked about the new law. "One of the best answers I heard was from a commentator yesterday saying, leave it the way it is right now. There have been very few problems. Leave it the way it is."

Where were you when based trump cut off the failing Carolinan regime

>"You leave it the way it is. There have been very few complaints the way it is," he continued. "People go, they use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate. There has been so little trouble, and the problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife and the economic punishment that they are taking."
>>

This is just what we've all known for months. Trump has consistently been fr protecting minorities in businesses. He's refused to do business with places that banned blacks and gays until they changed their policies. He opened miss America for transgendered women.

Jenner's a monster but his concern is touching.

i guess trump isn't as scary as he seems, I am just afraid of a republican counter culture rising due to all the lgbt and trans visibility of late.
>>
>>6060230
Isn't that more of a reason to support him? The republican voters are rallying behind him, so why not support right wingers being led by someone who's pro-LGBT? It's not ideal but it's progress
>>
>>6060230
note that the anti-lgbt rise from republicans isn't because of trump, that's just republicans being retarded as usual

remember the donald isn't republican but chose the republican platform for his candidacy because he knows how to cash in on the dumbfuck vote
>>

To be fair some of the legislators who voted for the NC bill were Democrats
>>
>>6060167
More proof Trump hates women.
>>
>>6060456
They were socially conservative democrats, like most minority adults are.
>>
>>6060491
What's the point of being a socially conservative democrat? I know to Americans the difference between democrats and republicans is huge, but to from an external perspective they're very similar on everything except social issues.

Wouldn't a 'socially conservative' democrat have most of their views more in line with republicans? And if Trump is socially liberal, why are republicans voting for him?

Not trying to stir the pot, legitimately confused Canadian here watching from your hat.

I actually like Trump and would vote for him if it weren't for his stance on minimum wage. The moment I heard him speak about minimum wage I just can't like the man at all.
>>
>>6060529
At this point Bernie is a lost cause. I love the guy, I really do. But Trump is going to end up being endorsed by Bernie when he drops out so that Hillary can be beaten. I wouldn't even be surprised if Trump got Bernie to work with him.
>>
>>6060514
economically, there's a pretty big difference. it only doesnt seem like it because hillary and a lot of mainstream democrat party leaders are actually really moderate. but the republicans are so far right that there's definitely a tangible difference.

imo the biggest social issues are stuff like abortion, lgbt rights, and gun control. but raising the minimum wage, whether to cut welfare programs or the military budget, foreign policy etc can still be considered more important to democrats than social issues. usually liberal economic & liberal social issues go hand in hand, but for some older politicians, they can be set in their ways regarding "moral" issues. if that makes sense

>>
>>6060575
you misunderstand, by opening up work opportunities for legal citizens and increasing the strength of the USD by cutting off trade to china and making better quality goods, the minimum wage being lower will not affect your daily lifestyle at all. Taxes will end up being much lower and you and your friends will find it easier to get jobs that pay over minimum wage. The big selling point about Donald is that he wants to create jobs and strengthen the US economy. No handouts or special privileges to the rich either.

>he's just tricking those ignorant rubes for votes, he's REALLY on my side and will reveal it once elected
>>

sounds like a fantasy. Bernie will endorse Hillary when he drops out. It's what all democrats have to do.

I can't imagine how mindblowing it would be to everyone if Trump brought in Bernie to be his VP nominee. Fun to think about but not in the realm of reality as I see it.
>>
>>6060608
So who are you going to vote for when Bernie loses the nomination and it's Hillary vs Trump? Would you prefer a globalist monster controlled by people like george soros? Oh wait, I forgot. Kids like you can't vote.
>>
>>6060613
Do you really think this election caters to the realm of reality? Hillary is EVERYTHING Bernie stands to fight against. You're telling me that for the sake of the status quo he would endorse her over the only other candidate that resembles him and his economic policies?
>>
Do any of you guys follow the idea that Trump is a false flag Hillary supporter?

Apparently he has donated lots of money to the Clintons over previous years.
>>
>>6060618
I was mostly referring to your claim that Bernie would support Trump in any way, or vice-versa. But yes, I would rather have someone in office who at least pretends to act progressive, rather than some selfish asshole with a horde of brainless skinhead followers and the vocabulary of a third-grader.
>>
>>6060245
Republicans have always tried to use social issues to scare evangelicals to the polls. Also over 60% of young Republicans support gay rights so it's not as major of an issue it used to be
>>
Trump is absolutely playing Conservatives and it's a beautiful thing to watch. He has to be the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the right wing
>>
>>6060622
How do you realistically believe Bernie would endorse Trump after everything he's said? I'd even like to see some examples of democrats endorsing republicans in general. They just don't really exist. each party eventually puts aside their differences and supports their party's candidate and pretends like all the bickering and fighting never happened.

I wouldn't be surprised if you see Romney eventually end up lowering his ears and endorsing Trump.

When Trump panders he panders to the dumbest Republicans. He's now getting more relaxed with that.

A vote for Trump is a vote for a Republican Supreme Court. And a Republican Supreme Court will overturned Obergefell v. Hodges

And millions of LGBT undocumented immigrants will be harmed by Trump's overtly bigoted anti-immigrant policies.

I'll be voting for Sanders in the Democratic primary here in my state of PA and I hope to god a Democrat wins the white house this November.

It doesn't matter, his Republican policies are transphobic and homophobic.

Just because he doesn't go out there like Cruz and attack us doesn't mean his policies won't hurt us.

Hillary Clinton or Sanders will give us a Democrat Supreme Court for the first time in generations. Trump said he would pick a Supreme Court nominee that is hand picked from the fucking Heritage Foundation, a very anti-gay organization.
>>
>>6061694
>And millions of LGBT undocumented immigrants will be harmed by Trump's overtly bigoted anti-immigrant policies.
Fewer illegals would prolly be a good thing given that most of them are kind of religious.

Also they're not being "harmed" by getting ejected from a place they had no right to be.

Wrong. Latino Americans tend to support gay marriage at a higher rate than most Americans.

Latinos tend to vote Democrat, Democrats tend to be pro-LGBTQ. That's why we should have an open border policy.

Mexico has gay marriage and so does Brazil. Spot promoting your hate. Latinos are Americans like every other American.

>Also they're not being "harmed" by getting ejected from a place they had no right to be.

>On the issue of gay marriage, Donald Trump said during a November 2013 interview on MSNBC, "I think I’m evolving, and I think I’m a very fair person, but I have been for traditional marriage. I am for traditional marriage, I am for a marriage between a man and a woman.”
In a March 2011 interview with The Des Moines Register, Trump said gay couples should not be allowed to marry or receive the same benefits as married heterosexual couples.
>On June 26, 2015, following the Obergefell v. Hodges ruling, Trump tweeted, "Once again the Bush appointed Supreme Court Justice John Roberts has let us down. Jeb pushed him hard! Remember!"

You know what he's said recently? He'll follow "the laws of the land". Which is more than any candidate does in this day and age. You know, let the legislature decide. Rather than try to hamfist everything with EOs and pressuring the SCOTUS.

It's fair to say that both Trump and Clinton aren't true supporters of LGBT rights. However, one has said they'll go with what the country decides, and the other had supported their husband when he passed DOMA and enacted DADT. Who's the real bigot?

Unless you have proof Trump opposed those at the time, there's no reason to believe otherwise given his comments towards "traditional marriage".
>>
>>6062313
Trump is a businessman. Why would he alienate a customer? Furthermore, he wasn't a politician with an influential vote. He has done nothing that matters in regards to the issue one way or the other. You're desperately trying to salvage your defense of a person who has repeatedly voted against your interests.

He's already said that he personally supports traditional marriage, however, he would not act to overturn the will of the voters. That is better than any president in recent history, who'd rather try to enforce their personal agenda, bypassing Congress, like a dictator.
