The divide in the gay community is ridiculous. As if it isn't hard enough being gay already. I don't subscribe to any gay subcultures or labels, I'm just a fucking normal human who likes other men -.- and my bodytype and personality to do fit into any cookie-cuter predefined categories

That's because you're a normal human being, unlike the vapid fucking faggots whose entire identities revolve around the fact they like penis.

Rare quality these days.

I feel it, I worry that certain songs are made to sync with gay brains. I don't even like the new songs lady gaga puts out but for some reason if I play one I will keep pressing repeat for at least an hour. I won't even like it but it's like some weird compulsion comes over me where I have to hear the message to KILL ALL HETERONORMATIVES, KILL ALL HETERONORMATIVES, KILL ALL HETERONORMATIVES
But like her old stuff was better so maybe that's where its coming from?

>A mukhannath is the one ("male") who carries in his movements, in his appearance and in his language the characteristics of a woman. There are two types; the first is the one in whom these characteristics are innate, he did not put them on by himself, and therein is no guilt, no blame and no shame, as long as he does not perform any (illicit) act or exploit it for money (prostitution etc.). The second type acts like a woman out of immoral purposes and he is the sinner and blameworthy.

It literally isn't. It describes someone either classically good looking, or "model" good looking.
Cute describes someone average/ugly who fills a niche.
>>
>>6005074

Never saw it. A friend told me that David Lynch "went full retard" when directed it.

And I have been enjoying HP Lovecraft recently in an ironic kind of way. Its really weird - his books shouldn't work, but they just do. He has shit writing, shit stories, shit characters, but somehow when you put it all together you get a great story.

I just dont get it yet.
>>
>>6005074
Lynch is a very competent director but the production of it was super fucked up. I love it though, great cheesefest and MacLachlan is a qt.
>>
>>6005076

>>
>>6005076

Then why am I called handsome all the time by everyone I meet? I'm not classically goodlooking or model tier... at all. My stomach seriously drops every time I hear it because it hurts knowing I'm ugly and that they're just being polite and they know I'm ugly but feel the need to bring up my appearance anyway for some reason
>>
>>6005098
Maybe you just have poor self esteem and confidence issues.
>>
>>6005081
Yeah, me and my dad called it the "me myself and I" movies. Was stupid as fuck.

Lovecraft is great in a really weird way. I think the entire genre of lovecraftian horror is kind of like that. Personally I believe it has something to do with the fact that usually the story of existence is shit, the characters in said story are shit and the narrator is usually shit as well. You catch glimpses of the truth behind the jumbled mess of these peoples minds but it never quite resolves creating a delicious tension. Ever read The King in Yellow? I thought it was a collection of short stories at first but I can't help but thinking they are all connected and I don't know how. Mayhaps that's just the author attempting to fuck with the readers head perhaps not.

What the hell does it mean when you're asked "what are you into?" on gay dating sites or apps? I can never answer this propertly because it just confuses me. My profile already says if I'm a top/bottom/whatever and all the other relevant gay profile stats. Are they asking for weird fetishes or something? Like what do they mean? Sex-wise? I assume they don't want to know I'm into reading books and shit. Like what do you reply with? "I like sucking cock" "I am into sex" it's just such a dumb a infuriatingly generic question and I'm embarassed for the asker and embarrassed for myself for answering it, like 99% of my conversations fizzle out after stumbling on that question because it's so dumb.

I have read Stephenson's Seveneves recently. It was quite good (esp. if you know that Stephenson has worked as a scientist for Blue Origin).

Here is another one of my favorites - Ted Chiang's "The Lifecycle of Software Objects" (it's not that well known, but I like how it documents relationship of Human and an embodied AI).
There is also his "Exhalation" and super-cool Greg Egan's "Crystal Nights". I like this kind of compsci-related science fiction because it looks almost like something that could exist for real.

SA is epic fantasy, in my opinion, at its best. Engaging characters and a dynamic world built literally from the bottom up. None of that copy paste from Tolkein bs.

Totally gonna look into those, I've been trying to find a copy of Seveneves but my area has shit bookstores. I really like his style of incorporating elements of technology seamlessly into everyday life even if they are crazily outlandish. Some of them are published online, for example Crystal Nights lies here http://ttapress.com/553/crystal-nights-by-greg-egan/ (This one influenced me to start several funny side-projects)

These books probably won't be translated into my native language anyway, so I just torrent them. In exchange I have a small bonus of being able to read Dostoevsky and Solzhenitsyn as they were written, hehe.

Reading books and playing games are great ways to become familiar with a foreign language. I can freely read any book now, but expressing myself precisely is still kinda hard.

I suck so bad at learning languages. But I read a book called The Stranger once when I was younger, it had originally been written in russian and it was a fat book. Read it when I was around 13 then later on all my friends started reading Camus in class and were all talking about it. Was confused as fuck for so long because I thought they were talking about a book involving a man who wakes up in a different dimension whenever he goes to sleep. weird tangent

good luck! Gonna go make pizza now for dinner.

I guess it's a hard language to learn, similar to German in that it has lots of declinations & conjugations and free word order on top of that. English was easier to learn, I like it.

Also in Stephenson's Seveneves there was a language that was a hybrid of English and Russian (because these were main languages of the founders), it looked like a cool concept.

Vladimir Nabokov on Ulysses

"Ulysses. A divine work of art. Greatest masterpiece of 20th century prose. Towers above the rest of Joyce's writing. Noble originality, unique lucidity of thought and style. Molly's monologue is the weakest chapter in the book. Love it for its lucidity and precision."

What's funny is that he admits that he likes guys and he freely admits that he likes me. He says he has no problem with homosexuality. He's classified himself as "not straight" before, so I guess it's not fair of me to say he thinks he is.

But it's like he associates certain things with being gay or something? Like, anything that makes him feel vulnerable is "too gay" or the other night I scooped him up and carried him to his bed which was enough to make him hide his face and say it was "too gay". And I'm just over here like 'You literally had my dick in your mouth thirty seconds ago my guy.'

I have no doubt he'll get over it, but trying to follow his logic is amusing as hell sometimes.

Yeah, I've known people to go on dates from Grindr. I've known people to even get into a few relationships - but I think you need to realistic about Grindr a lot of people just use it when they're horny.

If you want an honest answer I think you should avoid Grindr for as long as you possibly can and use something like PoF or even Tinder that might filter out some of the creeps and give you a high chance of a date.
