Just need to find other people in the same boat I guess to not be so isolated. there is a local support group, but well, I've met the people who did the LGBT club at my last college as the president of it was a friend of mine. I can honestly say unless I knew some other legbutts went, I'm utterly terrified of it.
>>
>>5988364
I dove into the local support group without any idea what they would be like. I told myself to give them 5 times. That was over a year ago, and I'm still going. It's been pretty good. The moderator is a young transwoman and she keeps the meetings going relatively smoothly. The moderator makes speaking room for those who are shy or quieter and brings things back on track when they need to. Yeah we do end up talking about side tangents often, but most of the regulars are long timers who know each other.

Vivian James was created to support a charity by the Fine Young Capitalists that was meant to help get women into the gaming industry. It confuses me. If they are that bothered by male or female you'd think they'd just say to use their name.

>>5995026
Yeah, that sucks. I'm getting more and more female looking so the confusion over my gender is getting more evident. If it is said in a normal tone of voice I don't care, but if they emphasize it I may write out a complaint.

I fell for the rainbow clothing meme.
>>
So I'm a cis lesbian and I was turned down by a trans lesbian because I'm too butch. Not because she personally doesn't like butch women (I wouldn't care in that case), but because she's afraid I'm just a repressed FtM and I'm going to go FtM on her. Is this a common attitude? I don't really get it. The only FtM-ish thing I even do is wear a binder sometimes, but it's not because I'm dysphoric about my boobs, it's just that men's clothing simply doesn't fit well if you have tits.
>>
>>5996781
lol
>>
>>5996781
>cis
>binder

mmmm nope
>>
>>5996781
Well then, her loss. Don't think that's a common thing though.
>>
>>5996811
There's a pretty clear difference between just wanting my clothes to fit right and wanting to be a man. If I'm wearing a T-shirt or something casual, no binder. Nice men's dress shirt, yes, because the chest is literally not sized to accommodate boobs, and going up a size for that would fuck up the shoulder fit, which is hard enough to get right for me anyway.
>>
>>5996781

>>
>>5996913
hmm, yeah but you aren't cis, right? so??

>>5996874
I mean, it's not that I think you're trans, only you can tell. It's just that, why bind yourself into such an uncomfortable position just for clothing when there are more comfortable options for a similar butch fashion. If you are so adamant to wear mens clothes to the point where you bind, it kind of shows off your priorities are kind of off.

I tuck because of clothing as well, but because my priorities are very obviously pass over comfort. My mental comfort is better to me than my bodily comfort.

But if you bind and are uncomfortable without having that mental comfort, then it's just weird.
So she's got to suspect that maybe you get mental comfort after all.
>>
>>5996952
as far as I see it I fail to see a difference between me and a natal female without uterus
soooo ?
>>
>>5996959
I was just kidding. I guess it came out wrong, sorry. I'm just... Why would you wear men's clothing after all this? And binding as well. It kind of intrigues me.
>>
>>5996952
I suppose that does make sense, but binding really isn't all that uncomfortable for a few hours, I'd imagine it's the all day, everyday stuff that gets bad. I'm also not trying to get absolutely flat either, just to get the tits out of the way, so it really doesn't feel like much more than an overly tight sports bra.

I'm not quite certain about my sexuality anymore. I definitely like women and don't like men at all, and I can have sex if they want me to, but I can't feel any pleasure, though that's not just for sex. Also, I have an overwhelming genital dysphoria, so I keep my underwear on. So I don't really know whether I'm asexual or a stone lesbian. And I have no idea what effect SRS is going to have on that. I guess I'll end up as a frigid lesbian.
>>
>>5997973
>overwhelming genital dysphoria
This must suck. I'm sorry for you.
I hope SRS helps.

In my case, my genital dysphoria has subsided over the years and I don't think I'll be needing SRS. The fact that my bi gf enjoys it helps as well.

Not today's production, but I made similar a couple days ago and just had a slice. 1/4th = a meal. I make them high in meat and veggies, with a thin crust. 1/4th contains half the meat and veggies needed for a day. Dairy wise I'm not sure, but I bet a bit on the high side.

Yeah, that is a full cheese layer on top. My crust is 4 layers of a soft tortilla with very thin layers of cheese, spices, and finely diced meats between them. Then a 1/4in layer of a thick pizza sauce with the peperoni embedded in it. Then I add alternating thin layers cheeses with thick layers of mushrooms, peppers, sweet peppers, spicy peppers, sauteed onion, fresh onion, cauliflower, broccoli, olives, pineapple, and meats until it is around 3/4" above the pie plate top. Then it is capped with cheese. Bake for 30-40 minutes at 325F, and finish at 400 for 7 to 15 minutes until the cheese is browned just right. The crust is a little droopy so you won't pick a slice up. The veggies release liquid as they cook. Eat it like a slice of pie. I use multiple types of cheese, aged Parmesan, aged Romano, Havarti, sharp cheddar, aged provolone, Asiago, mozzarella, etc.. Usually whatever is on hand cheese, meat, and other topping wise go into one. It's a real garbage pie pizza. The soft tortillas are large enough to cover the whole pie plate. I just push them down into the pie plate, and let the edges crinkle some. I use them to avoid making a pizza crust. A biscuit dough type pizza crust could also be used.

>>6003901

I really can't get into what anime looks like these days. I guess I never moved past the shows I watched as a kid. that style was popular in the 00s, i think, now in the 10s i'm pretty sure is not popular.

to be honest i like more the art style of modern animes than the majority of 90s or 00s animes, of course that varie for each show, genre, etc.

i'm not a otaku anyway, i just watch some anime and manga, there's people who know much more than me.

also, i absolute love hirohiko araki and his actual art style.

>>

>>

>What are your doses, and hormone levels?

Not sure about my hormone levels since I haven't received the details from my latest blood work but...

2 MG Estradiol 2x daily - Once in the morning, once in the evening

50 MG Spironolactone 3x daily - Two in the morning, one in the evening

100 MG Progesterone 1x daily - Take before bed
>>
>>6010840
Watched those too. And I have to admit I really liked Betty Boop. I guess France was one of the first countries to air anime outside Japan, back in the early seventies, so you'd be young enough to have watched those if you were French. And those shows were successful enough for French producers to fund a whole bunch of new ones.
Also, finally got the first green light for my long term leave from the expert this morning. Now I can only hope the medical committee and the agency I work for will follow his report. And, I'm not sure if it's pent up stress or what, but I've been stuck with heartburn and tooth aches all day.
>>
Finally managed to wake up from another torturous nightmare. I'm still aching all over from it, shivering and completely drenched in sweat. Weirder than usual, too, those nightmares usually don't involve furries and nukes. Stranger though is that it used to be that I never was the one dying. And once again in a hospital and always about drugs. I'm beginning to suspect quitting benzos after a year on heavy doses is behind that. Now I'm afraid I'll have to deal with more of the same next month because of morphine. I don't care if they're on my prescription at this point, I just want all drugs out of my life once and for all...

I just have nightmares where I'm abandoned somewhere, I can't speak the language, and I have no money to get home. Kinda like what my nastiest c-ptsd is mostly over.

Ask to use different pain killers and maybe specific anti inflammatory meds in place of the narcotic types.

Oh, kinda majorly disturbing. Its caused me some nasty flashbacks. EMDR has squashed many of them. Still have more to work on.
>>
>>6012627
Too disturbing for me to watch, this is the stuff of my worst nightmares, and they're so vivid I tend to remember them as if they really happened. And those are the flashbacks that unsettle me the most because they hack at reality. Things that actually happened, I can deal with, except for those few memories that emerged from my blackout. Being invaded by memories that aren't mine, or anyone's, that's totally dreadful.
Even though I never was actually subjected to it, that side of psychiatry is something I've long felt as a threat because of those nightmares. It's not especially reassuring that I may have to subject myself to shock therapy to earn my freedom, since it's one of the very few recognized treatments for my brand of depression...
I just hope that someday, you'll feel secure enough to overcome that fear of abandonment.

Come on, I like transbians and all, I'd definitely date one, but why this shit. It always boils down to a tumblrian shitstorm when talking about trans lesbians. >>
>>6013697
I'm not 100% sure about how to read that drawing, but I thought the "pile of brown lard" was supposed to be a cis rad fem... As for self respect, it takes something really special for most trans women to get there. It's not exactly compatible with the neverending self hate...

>>6013731
Yeah I wasn't referring to the fact that the pile of brown lard was trans or not, that's not the issue, it is the logic behind the whole drawing that drives me nuts. I understand self hate, that's some hard stuff to deal with, and we all know it takes balls to get out of it. But why such a glorification of looking like a garbage can? Shouldn't we encourage people to strive to become closer to their ideal selves than go with the easy, lazy "EVERYONE IS BEAUTIFUL" crap? That's the message I get from tumblrina images. But maybe it's just me.
>>
>>6014060

Maybe being a chubbers is this fictional anime drawing's ideal self. I mean yeah irl she'd look like a trash can but come on, it's just meant to be a sweet sentiment

(I know only 1 cute fat transgirl and I wanna rub her belly and kiss her nose)
>>
>>6014076
I know, that's probably all there is to it, but the amount of "sjw stereotype" in that pic is absurd. Chubbie girls, cis or trans, are completely ok. I like girls of every size (within the limits of a healthy body, excluding morbidly obese people of course) Now, if you're decent about yourself and your body go for whatever you think enhances your personality and shape. Irl, who the fuck would go out with unshaved legs and a stretched belly hanging out like a raging alcoholic. It is so exaggerated that the "sweet" aspect of it just disappears.

I'll be getting my medical card again here next month, and hopefully be back to the really good times. Keep putting yourself out there. I went on a few first dates and even saw someone for a bit before I found my girlfriend. It took over 6 months, which... really isn't all that much time in the grand scheme of things.

I live in a REALLY large metropolitan area with over 4 million people though, so you might not have as much luck as quickly. But just kind of keep yourself open, and put yourself on sites or in places where you might be able to meet someone, and it can happen.

If you don't try or put in any effort it's not going to change.

It's great to have a gf.

Like, even when you're alone, you know you're not - there's someone that cares about you, that want you to be happy. It's a very reasurring thought, especially when something shitty happens to you.

When you're with her, it's just comfy, you can just be yourself and not care about the world. Cuddling for hours is fine, she wants it as much as you. You'll talk about random stuff all the while. Even just venting about your day. She will say she loves you - she means it. You will tell her too. Of course, you can do more active things - last time I saw gf we tried to make bread from flour and stuff. It failed horribly 'cause we're kitchen-retarded, but it wasn't the point. The point was the intimacy of doing something together.

It's someone that will not judge you on your fears or who you are. That will not try to change you, or take advantage of you in any way; as to love someone is to want them happy. You can tell her you were scared she would chose to study in another town far away; you can tell her you're not fine and please come. She will. You will, of course, be here for her too, in time. I's a great feeling when she confides her secrets with you, when you know she wants you here, when you can solve her problems; or even just make it more bearable for her.

Also, massages are great.

Hang, on wait. There's another medication that's effective at reducing testosterone that isn't spiro or cypro?

I'm that unlucky bitch in the US that is allergic to spiro and started ordering cypro from an online pharmacy to the tune of $180 for 50mg x 200 pills after going through three doctors to get to one who would write me the prescription for medication that isn't approved by the FDA. Why didn't any of these doctors bring this up? The first two literally were recommended specifically to me because they specialize in hormone therapies for trans women.

Like... It's probably a moot point for me now anyway, since my T has finally been happily brought way the hell down (14 ng/dl) and I have a consultation in 5 months for an orchiectomy, but. Still. Please Syndie, tell me more.
>>
>>6022763
Yes! There are actually quite a few that will work. If your insurance covers it Lupron Depot is wonderful. Mine doesn't, and it's roughly $1000/month. I'm not made of gold.

Bicalutamide + (Finasteride or Dutasteride) will be my backup if Depo Provera doesn't work or has objectionable side effects. I think I'd switch to Dutasteride if I went on Bicalutamide.

Depro Provera is a standard female contraceptive. $48 (generic) for a 3 month pre filled syringe at WalMart is the lowest price my doc found. At my pharmacy it was $91, but my insurance drug coverage knocked it down to $5. Depo Provera may not be the best for somebody who is young. It affects bone deposition and possibly growth too. They say to not be on it more than two years. I'm 51 so that isn't as much of an issue.

Basically any drug made for producing castrate level T production for prostrate and and testicular cancer supression. Note, some get rediculous expensive, and check what they also muck up. I found one that was $9000/month and knocked out both T and DHT production to zero. Sadly it also knocked out a bunch of vital stuff too. Not something to stay on for very long.

I think spiro triggered my ME/CFS and FM to all of a sudden get worse. I went on half dose of spiro and I stopped getting worse. So I'm switching to an AA that shouldn't effect the adrenal system at all.
>>
>>6022913
Huh.

Well right now I'm taking 50mg of cyproterone and 5mg of finasteride daily for T suppression. I might try bringing up Depro Provera and Bicalutamide the next time I see my gynecologist for my implant. I'm 29, so it's not like I'm building a lot of bone these days, so it probably wouldn't kill me to be on it for 6-8 months until I get rid of my testosterone factories.

The pellets that I get from her office are pretty great, but she runs a super turn and burn kind of practice and I see her for less than like 5 minutes when I go in for one which is really frustrating.

And better still she doesn't really remember things about you unless she checks her charts. Which I mean, at least she does THAT, but... I dunno. I'm really tempted to try and go back to my PCP and switch to injections for my E instead. Neither the pellets or injections are actually covered by my insurance, but I have an FSA that I use to cover it, and they come out nearly equal.

Sorry, kinda was talking deep into the medical stuff. I tend to do that. I plead having brains, and not being afraid to flex them, though this doesn't flex them much. It just calls on accumulated medical knowledge and looking things up.

5 minutes is way to short. I often end up spending a half an hour plus with my doc. Part of yesterday's appointment she ended up talking about her follies with a burn pile and a tree. Poor tree. It caught fire a few times. She also has chickens now and couldn't understand why they insisted on selling them 5 at a time. It's due to predation, and it is to much of a hassle dealing with just one chicken.

This. Just camouflage them. Have epaulets on your jacket so huge that noone will think your shoulder size has anything to do with the width. Besides, when it comes to epaulets, everyone knows that the bigger, the better.

That's kind of awesome that your doctor has that good of a relationship with you. That's how mine is with my PCP, it's 30-45 minutes with her, and she is the one who will check all of my vitals not a nurse. And for bonus points she remembers me from a couple of support group meetings she went to back before I had even started HRT yet.

But after she sent me over to try out pellets from this gynecologist she doesn't want to be the one writing any prescriptions for hormone related therapies. I dunno. The cypro + fina + pellets finally feel like they're doing what they should be, and I guess I'll see in another month or so how my E level is doing, but if I pull another 6x I think I'll talk with my gyno about discontinuing pellets and switching to injections, because I'd really rather see it in the 1-200 range, and that's where my PCP was wanting it.

I want this bass, holy shit.

So I got my levels checked this week and they were waaay out... I think my e was about 1800pg/ml and its probably been that way since i was changed to patches two months ago... They've dialed me way back now but its got me a little freaked out cause of the whole cancer risk thing and increased risk of stroke...

Interesting article. I knew the 20s were a golden age for LGBT visibility in Europe. Didn't know the USA had the same. http://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/in-the-early-20th-century-america-was-awash-in-incredible-queer-nightlife

My understanding is pellets have a high initial peak blood level, then level off and slowly ramp down over time. 160 to 220 pg/mL is likely an ideal point that isn't wasteful, and potentially harmful, versus transition time needed. I aimed for that when on patches, but they didn't like my skin. My boobs really grew well on it. So much slower now that I'm on pills.

>>6027566
You definitely have something odd going on. Likely the increased risk of cancer is quite low. We're not talking about those levels being maintained for years or decades.

My great aunt talked about it a bunch. That is when she grew up and found her life long partner. You likely could have described my great aunt as a drag king, and she mostly carried that over to work attire too. I've seen a photo of her with her boss back in the mid '30s. Other than being curvier and wearing a cravat and not a tie, she looked like a guy. When criticized at work, her ultimate boss, the owner and founder of Dayton's (now Target Corporation) told her to continue to wear what she preferred, and she did. He also made her his personal assistant so it would never be an issue again. She worked for him until he died. Note, this guy was highly religious, yet he stepped in and shielded a known lesbian drag king at the height of the depression. After his death she worked for the next few CEOs of Daytons until she retired in the '70s.

BTW, you have Dayton's to thank for fully enclosed malls in suburbia.

I'd be really curious as to what my blood levels are like more throughout the cycles with pellets. My first one after about 12 hours and through to 36 hours after the implant I felt nearly euphoric. But then after 3 weeks I started really crashing, and crying and being overemotional about almost everything.

That trend continued a bit, until I switched from 50mg spironolactone (the highest dose my body would tolerate without going completely overkill with allergic reaction responses) to 50mg cyproterone. It dropped my T from over 200 down to 14. Ugh, I just looked through my blood tests over time and I'm missing the more recent ones, but my initial was 435, and October '15 I was 292, it's only in the past three months it's finally gotten nuked. Less than that really, I've gone through less than 60 of my cyproterone pills.

But the fun thing with the pellets is, 2-3 weeks after I get one implanted I look down and say "holy shit, boob growth spurt" and they don't even end up hurting.

I feel like I should pick a name and trip back up because it's fun to bullshit here.
>>
>>6028703
Yeah, getting T under control is key. I've seen lots of comments that implants are magic for boob growth and feminization. Which brand of implant are you using? How often do you have to replace them?

I needed this quote when I was young.
>Look, sweetheart, I can drink you under any goddamn table you want, so don't worry about me.
It's from "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"

I can use this one now.
>I'll admit I may have seen better days, but I'm still not to be had for the price of a cocktail.
from "All About Eve"

It would be so fun to drop this one.
>Please darling, your Auntie Mame is hung.
from "Auntie Mame"

I used to be a terrifying drinker in my student years, yet alcohol is one thing I never got addicted to, I guess I'm not wired for it. People who knew about it knew better than to challenge me in a drinking contest. Strangers, though,.. I humiliated more than a few aggressive guys by bending the rules and chugging down my half of the bottle of spirits and one go. Always funny to watch them go white pondering whether they should try to do the same or lose face to the androgynous little thing.

Highly religious and LGBT friendly? I'm not too surprised about that kind of strange fellowship. The French party with the largest number of openly homosexual people in its upper strata is the far right Front National, go figure...
Also, suburbia is both exotic and kind of scary from a French point of view. The French middle class is too individualistic for that, they'd never live in such an uniformized and regimented fashion, most either get an architect designed house, old stone or a nice flat downwtown. As a result, our suburbs are where the underclass dwells. Banlieue was already a derogative word back in the XIXth century. We never had American style malls either. Our supermarkets were developped in direct opposition to the French small business mores, which are very different from what they are in most countries. Foreigners have a taste of real culture shock when they're confronted with openly hostile and greedy shopkeepers... So anonymized self service was at the core of the supermarkets' success, because the last thing anyone wants here is a "personalized" shopping experience.

I was heavily addicted to it. In enough quantity it deadened the ptsd. That was the state I was in when I moved to NYC in '80. I'm not surprised that heroin claimed me very quickly. In '79, the waitress knew to get me a Long Island Iced Tea for starters. Think about the implications of that for my consumption rate back then.

>Foreigners have a taste of real culture shock when they're confronted with openly hostile and greedy shopkeepers...
the customer is always wrong!!!! Brings back memories. I let Grace and Kathy do the bargaining. They were pros at it. I never could handle it. I'm so non confrontational.

Suburbia really came out of WWI and WWII for us. There was a severe lack of housing, and it filled a need. Look up Levittown, NJ, PA, LI NY.

The Levitts perfected suburban housing development. Ugg!!!

I don't know what brand that my gynecologist is using. I do know that I am getting 2x 32.5mg pellets implanted at each go.

My first was implanted at the beginning of January. We did a blood test 3 weeks later, and my E had dropped from the low 100s to the 60s, so we did another set of pellets in the beginning Feb, and I called back and complained that I felt like I was dropping again. We did another blood test and sure enough I was back in the 60s, but I had been on cypro for just over a week and it took my T from the 150s down to 14. I had another implanted on March 21st.

So far I haven't been feeling like a major mood drop or anything, sooo that's good at least. But my doctor didn't schedule a follow up, or schedule blood testing or anything, so I'll probably call in on Monday and bug one of the nurses there about writing up some orders for a new blood test just to see how things are. My insurance will cover them completely, so I'd rather just go and do it so I know, you know? But theoretically I should only be needing them every 2-3 months, especially now that my T has gotten under control.

In other news in about 11 hours I'll be at my girlfriends place for two nights. Really it's probably more accurate to call it like 30 hours, but. It's what we get, and I'm going to make the best of it.

A long island iced tea is refined compared to what was my signature drink. Got it from an English girl, she called it a headbanger, said it was all the rage in Manchester. When it comes to getting smashed, you can trust the rosbifs... Double dose of pastis mixed with the cheapest red wine. Most night bars knew what to get me because the stuff was so vile serving it once was enough to remember me... Not the most womanly drink, but it was all about panache. I didn't even like being drunk, but anything that could help build my notoriety, I did. Which is why I almost never had alcohol with no witnesses. And why my consumption dropped sharply once I moved on from student life. These days, I don't drink at all, last time was way too much champagne, I think you already know what kind of nasty reaction it had with spiro. Next time definitely should be champagne too, wasn't too sure about it, so just a little, but it would be a pity to miss the opportunity to celebrate both a birthday and my all new nether regions.

No idea what soap that is, though I doubt it's a Dallas revival, or maybe it is, but that's quite an... unfortunate face. Don't know if it's the lazy eye, the tiny mouth or all of it.

I started out with the Long Islands using them for hydration while sailing. I drank them no ice if I wanted to numb the world out. Now, I no longer have those bacteria working for me. I can't dink copious amounts of alcohol anymore. I didn't feed the bacteria for well over a decade and they went bye bye.
