The main way I get my hair to curl right the way I want is to put in some good curl cream moisturizer into my hair when wet. Then pull it into two or three tight pulled back pony tails and braid those pony tails, smaller braids for tighter curls, and twist. Then silk cap it all with frizease on the top and sleep on that. Two days of good curls from that.
Or lazier just two tight dutch braids but same otherwise.
