I have encountered more bullying from other gay men than I have with "homophobes". What happened to our community? Gay men are mercilessly competitive, judgemental and superficial. Whenever I go out to straight bars or clubs the atmosphere is fine. But going out to gay bars and clubs it feels instantly like I'm being judged and picked apart by packs of snarky bitches. I feel as though I'll never fit into the gay community and in fact, I have found my straight friends to be far less judgemental and supportive, what a shame.

Your first mistake was expecting anything other than HIV status to be positive in the gay scene.
It's harder to attain gay bf outside of the "scene", but the lack of quantity is certainly made up for by the quality of the individuals. Avoid scene-narcissists and you'll be fine.

heh

Maybe I didn't see the other one. I was just wondering if other people felt the same way.

I've received far more anti-trans bullying from gay men than any straight men, especially when they use them being gay to try and befriend you to get to know you so you open up, and then they gossip and spread rumors. it's the worst bitchiest aging twinks who do it, they just love tearing people down

shit, something like that happened to me too.

>be passing mtf
>go into gay club with friends for fun
>after dancing, go get some fresh air in the back and to smoke
>a scary ass drag queen walks up to me
>BITCH, DYKES LIKE YOU AREN'T WELCOME
>I thought he was joking so I laughed a weak little laugh
>Drag Queen slaps me in the face
>Grabs me by the boob and squeezes hard while hitting me with his other hand
>He yells at me "Bitches ain't worth shit. Dykes like you are a fucking joke, who do you cunts think you are dressing and acting like men when you'll never be as good as one"
>The irony of him saying this while being a drag queen himself
>I scream for help and he eventually let's me go
>fucking leave the club and never go back to it again

I don't know what the fuck are wrong with gay men, but there's seriously no need to be so goddamn crazy.

bullshit. it's literally a copy paste from the other one.

Wow that is intense. There is still so much hate going towards trans people.

I never received that level of hate, I'm sorry and It's really sad that gay clubs aren't safe spaces anymore.
>>

>Drag queen
I think that explains it all.
Just out of curiosity, as a trans person, do you feel as though drag tries to satirise trans people, or possibly even mocks them?
I dunno; it just always looked like black-face for trans people to me.

Maybe you're worried about how you're coming across? I often feel fuck ugly when I go to gay bars, because so many of the patrons make such an effort.

Speaking to strangers in gay clubs/bars has always been a relatively amusing/pleasant experience for me. I've never done it with an aim to pick people up though.

As a trans guy, I don't really mind. Crossdressing has been around for hundreds of years. It's performance art, really. However, my opinion might not be valid as they're dressing as women and I'm a man.

If anything they are satirizing and mocking cis women
>>
Homosexuals are a mentally deformed group, so it's not surprising that they also end up narcissistic, materialistic, and pointlessly competitive

While I don't condone going to clubs in general, why would people who consider themselves female go to an all-male venue? LGBT makes no sense it's just lumping a bunch of disparate groups together out of laziness. In and of itself it's collective ghettoization of a bunch of different people, like a club of misfits who don't actually get along. Society was making decent progress towards quiet integration of LGBT before the whole rainbow flag faggotron movement happened.

most gay clubs are just gay in name these days, they are mostly lgbt clubs.
>>
LBGT people were supposed to find strength in solidarity against bigots but now lesbians and gays have gone mainstream while trans people remain oppressed.
>>

lesbian and trans people probably have the most straight acceptance though, so what do they matter if they don't have solidarity among gays and bisexuals?
