Literally when I was still 15. It's not too bad, the loss was slow, I'm a high NW2, and I've got little baby hairs growing in all the places my hairline used to be, but I feel absolutely awful because of it. If those baby hairs don't turn into full hairs I'm gonna have to get transplants eventually because there's only like a handful of ways I can style my hair where my hairline isn't visible. I'm kinda worried that despite the regrowth I'm starting to get on hrt that I'll somehow go bald anyways because I feel like that's the type of shitty luck I have. If I go bald I think I'm gonna kill myself.

I started at 20 and get gendered female by strangers almost 100%, but it took years to get there, and I still badly want facial surgery. I guess it didn't really fuck me sideways, but puberty gave me a somewhat manageable dicking. As time goes by I find more and more acceptance, but I'm still screaming internally and struggling to finish this off. I'm convinced my life is profoundly worse quality than if I could have started even at 16, more so if 12.
I can see why over 20 can get to be hopeless quick. I wish there was a way to help people who have it even worse, as really my "middle of the road" level difficulty in transition has fucked my self respect so bad.

i think that this guide is a bit much. i think that youre going to be ok IF: you start before 25 and you have the right body type. even if you start at 16 i have seen people who dont pass. obviously it helps to start before puberty does its damage but its also a *lot* more dependent on genetics

The side effects that are mostly irreversible are:
gynecomastia
sterile balls
erectile dysfunction
I say mostly irreversible because the latter two might be reversible a bit. The former might be reducable from medication and completely reversible with surgery.
The effects on your hair, skin, muscle and fat are almost completely reversible after 6 months or so.

Damn, do you know how tall you were going to be? I have one of these height charts, and it seems I was always on track to be 5'10". Meaning I stayed pretty much the same distance above the 50 percentile line up to age 11 (I went to a different doctor then who kept records in some other way and I don't know where those records are.) My brothers are different though. My younger brother seemed like he might be between 5'7" and 5'9" at his final height based on his earliest points, then he dropped to 5'5" then he dropped again, but there were no data points after that because of our doctor switch. He ended up being even shorter than that prediction, 5'1". My youngest brother looked like he might reach 6'0", maybe 6'2", but he ended up being 5'9".
The shortest one cut his sleep short when he was small, so that explains that, but the other one only slept too much and was very fat, raising his estrogen level, but I'm not sure if either of those were enough to stunt his growth.
There are two cis females where I work that are very cute and 6'3"+ it happens. I'm 31 but have always had a very feminine face despite my height. I had a pretty even mix of blonde and brown in my beard and it was never too horribly thick. But then, I'm routinely clocked at around 25 years old still.
