Okay, so I have an online friend who is trans and who I assume is taking hormones now. She also asked a mutual friend to use female pronouns now (I asked her about it when I noticed) and I started doing it as well.
ANYWAY, while I haven't been using male pronouns rather than just her name ever since I found out she has gender dysphoria, I'm pretty confused how to refer to her in casual conversation. I'm used to calling people bro and dude and senpai when talking with them but I feel that would be offensive now. I feel silly and way too formal if I can't call people something like that in a conversation though.
I can't think of alternatives but I figure people here might know, any ideas?
