Why do I get hit on my men more than women? Often enough guys say I'm cute or pretty and it's strange and I don't know how to react. I'm a guy. How do I make this stop?

When I was walking home from work once these two middle age guys who'd been drinking (I'm usually done work in the early AM) asked me if I was a girl and even after I said no the one told me I was still pretty. Goddamn this is weird shit why? It makes me uncomfortable when this happens and that translates into me not approaching the hot bbq grills because I know how fucking annoying this shit can be.
