Why is it that people seem to criticize mtf's more than ftm's? Are mtf's really just that obnoxious?
Even when influential individuals or groups are talking about transgenders 90% of the time it's almost like they ignore the fact that ftm's exist or something.

That pic is getting old. Anyhow, if thats not some elaborate bait, it's as simple as Testosterone being absolute magic. FtMs will most definitely pass from just taking T, their only shortcoming is the very bad surgery options.
MtFs on the other hand rarely pass and have to deal with so many more issues connected to that fact. As man you can look uggo and still be accepted, but there's higher expectations from women in that regard. And a "woman" looking like half a man is certainly no eye candy.
Plus there's that double standard that failed men just want to take the easy way out and be a woman with all their privileges or whatsoever, noone bats an eye when a woman transitions into a man.

People can't fathom why a man would become a woman. They see it as downgrading.
50-60% of mtfs dont pass and this makes them look really bad.
Otherwise cis-women have no complaints as long as a mtf can pass for a girl.
For cis-men, excluding the non-passing ones. They dont want to be dating passable mtfs only to find out they were biologically male since it causes gay panic. Other times males think that mtfs are somehow an assault on masculinity by "lowering its worth" The latter is common for posters from /pol/ since they subscribe to rightwing ideology.
To express the latter in another way, say if white kids said they didnt like being white. Most will laugh it off but Somebody who goes to /pol/ wont take that as harmless but to him it feels like an assault on his identity.

Ftms, 80% manage to look like males just by taking testosterone. So the weirdness/creepy factor of non-passing is not a problem.
Also biological females wanting to be males isnt considered hostile to guys who actually think its cool. TLDR: Not a sexual "threat" since they(guys) wouldnt be attracted to them.
Also females default are attracted to guys. Seeing a passable transmale gets them excited. Which is why women are more comfortable towards ftms.
MTFs seem to be much more vocal than real FTMs, transtrenders aside. FTMs just kind of seem to do their own thing, whereas MTFs are loud and bitchy.
Basically, it's because they are women really.

Mtfs stand out, usually don't pass, and make a huge obnoxious scene of their transition
Also, unless they're interested in fucking you, most people don't care if you transition.
