Well some of it is for sure. In the last part it says 85% of hetero females report fidelity but we know the actual number is closer to 50%, same with men.

Bell and weinberg
A study completed in the mid seventies and compiled in the early 80s from an incredibly narrow selection of willing participants. Its outdated, has serious data flaws, and it absolutely obsolete. Lauman's study is modern, has a larger response and data pool and shows nowhere near the promiscuity Bell and Weinberg's does.
It also speaks volumes of the political influences Bell and Weinberg had at the time and the drama surrounding research of the diseased and mentally defficient homosexual. Its no stretch of the imagination that quiet more or less monogamous homosexual men would simply choose not to participate in the venture while promiscuous sluts who dont give a shit about the 'disease' would be more than happy to talk about their promiscuity.
Furthermore, you just need to look at the surveys wording and bias to see how it could influence a tendancy to inflate answers.

Probably not complete bullshit, but more likely to be overblown. They're quite old studies as well, back when homosexuality was more stigmatized and the community that existed was, uh, more extreme.
