On first saturday of the month, I visit a self-help group. Currently around ~30 ppl. Stats:
2 cis
3 FTM
25 MTF
on /lgbt/ I've got the same feeling regarding the Trans*community.
And every board I took a small view. On every fucking social media.
MTF everywhere but why?

AGP/Extreme humiliation fetishes+ very homosexual males. Also, females aren't really in any hurry to transition as they're able to expirement more with clothing in society. A guy who dresses like a girl will be beaten up/mocked everywhere he goes, so he must blend in as a female.

I've been told that there are statistically more MtFs than FtMs. It could be because it's easier for Male to Female individuals to recognize their transness earlier, whereas FtM people might just assume they are tomboyish/butch women. Or it could be the case that MtF trans babies are more common, for some medical reason.

In general, cis people only want to see trans people in the media if they're being SO BRAVE for facing ALL THE HATRED AND BIGOTRY. Since the wider world assumes FtMs don't have a hard time, no media produced for cis people will care about them.
Out of curiosity what were the ages of of the people in the group? Was everyone in there 20s? Were the ftms younger then the mtfs? Were there a lot of older mtfs and a more equal amount of younger trans people?
There tends to be more mtfs that come out later in life. I went to a trans support group not long ago and at least half of the people were 40+ hons and the younger people were more equal.
Gender roles are much less rigid for AFAB people so more find a comfortable spot as genderqueer/non binary or some other flavor of GNC that isn't transsexual. For males, if you're even slightly effeminate, you're considered to be gay. Even more so and you're considered to be a tranny/closet tranny. Then there's the issue of society being disproportionately more hostile to GNC AMAB people than GNC AFAB people.

Weird, I've been to several group meetings and I've always been the only MtF out of 8-15 transpeople. This is Finland tho

Everyone's body started off as female in the womb. You're more likely to get development issues "going forward" from female embryo to male, as compared to female embryos that stay female.

And idk I don't think that every FTM will pass by only taking T. Even if my ex says she's jealous because "FTM transition is so much easier".

imo, men tend to be more affected by conditions at birth than women.
In LGBT, there are waaaaay more gay men than gay women.
So I'm guessing it works the same way with mtfs and ftms. Males are more likely to be trans or gay in general than females due to either inheriting the gay (which I know is still questionable and under research), hormone imbalance, or abnormal birth conditions.
It's kinda like how males are more likely to get autism than females and I'm not saying that as an insult.

True. A man isn't allowed to expirement with clothing styles like women can. This might aid in "going off the deep end". The man will know he wants to dress in a more feminine manner, but because of society and danger, isn't able to do so without being called a faggot and possibly physically harmed. A woman on the other hand can just go "hm, I feel kinda manly today", throw on some jeans and a tee and nobody gives a fuck. Therefore the woman is more likely to not have bottled up fears of hate and rejection than the man who has the steong urge to present in a more feminine manner.

There are more MtFs than FtMs.
I personally know quite a few more FtMs than MtFs. I think it's because FtMs tend to be more confident with their identity while MtFs are generally more insecure about there identity. Also the fact that socially when people see a girl wearing boy clothes they just assume they are a butch lesbian and nothings the matter, while when people see a boy wearing girl clothes they assume they are a pervert. Because of this FtMs are more likely to be open about themselves than MtFs.

I'm too lazy to translate it. Basically in Poland MtF to FtM ratio is ~1:5,5. It is probably result of women position in eastern Europe.
