I know people advise against this because supposedly it makes getting electrolysis harder, but I use an epilator on my face. I bought some local anesthetic from Amazon and apply to upper lip and chin, wipe away, and apply again x3. It's still a little painful but I don't have any shadow of hair for at least 3 to 4 days, and the hair that does come back is lighter. I use the epilator on my chin and use tweezers on my upper lip. If that's too much you can use a little bit of red lipstick after shaving on your shadow, use some concealer or corrector and some powder to hide the shadow, some subtle make up really helps but only really lasts a day until your stubble comes back
Tldr, get an epilator! No pain, no gain! Aslo numbing cream!
