Human beings, of both genders, are attracted to youthful appearances. But there is a rather significant difference between being attracted to eight-year-olds and being attracted to a seventeen-year-old. More over, the age of consent even in the United States varies from 16-18, and is 16 in the entirety of Canada. There are still laws to prevent exploitative relationships with such individuals, however.

There's 1 homosexual pedophile (prefer boys) for every 11 heterosexual pedophiles (prefer girls) in the USA, but given that the homosexual population is much lower than the straight male population there are far more homosexual pedos than straight pedos.
