Hello newfag here. FTM with a very annoying problem; my voice. I actually just started testosterone therapy (Hopefully the right words in English) but my voice has always been very high. Does T effect it? Even if I try talking deeper I just sound ...stupid. Like a really bad actress trying to act like a dude making a deeper voice when it's obvious they're a woman. Hope that makes sense. I talk slower and more calmly to hide my feminine voice a bit but it always comes out when I yell or call or someone or when talking for so long in a conversation. When singing they said I'm a soprano which honestly broke my heart and I sing alone now but I still try singing low notes. I'm wondering if there are any techniques to make your voice lower or should I just wait for T to do something about it? I am still in fear it'll be a high pitched voice forever

>Does T effect it?
This is something you're supposed to know before starting hormones, baka. But yes.

Smoke some dank kush
Come back in six months.
my voice is already a lot deeper and i've only been on it for 3
no need for voice training, but singing can be kind of a mess

You'll be fine,it will change naturally, you don't really have to work at it like MtF do, but you can if you want. You will probably pass as a gay man with your natural voice because you're used to going up with your voice trying to sound 'cute'
Anon if you just started T then you should of known before hand that your voice will deepen. Usually peoples voices start to deepen at three months but it varies per person.

Sorry, I actually know that I meant to ask if it effects it a lot; as in if it will have a more prominent effect than just slight. Someone told me it doesn't make that much of a change and it got me worried. I want to sound 'manly enough' but I guess what the anon above said; I'll probably sound like a gay man. Not my intention but I have a feeling.
You're never gonna be a baritone but your metaphorical balls will drop and you'll acquire dude-voice, as gay as it may be.

I had T but still required voice therapy because I sounded like a gay 16 year old boy 10 years after my first injection.

Most people end up sounding like a man but some people just have a naturally high voice even with T. Your friend shouldn't be so hasty, it sometimes takes years for a persons voice to fully deepen.

Damn, how's your voice now then? I mean was it not even 'gay guy' sounding before?
