Before I met my current bf, I didn't think about guys much, but I did on occasion. It was something I mostly suppressed, though, and it took meeting a guy I really like to really bring out my bisexuality. Have you ever thought about guys? It's possible you are a little bi, and he brought it out of you.
It's hard to say, though, and trying to pick up a random guy to test how you feel might not work if it's just your friend that does it for you. If your bisexuality is repressed online quizzes and us asking questions can only do so much... desu, eventually, you'll just have to do some serious soul searching, and maybe even try it out to know for certain.
You say you have an emotional friendship with him, but don't know if you're attracted... can you clarify that? What makes you feel like you might be attracted to him? Is he gay/bi? Has he expressed feelings for you?

There's nothing wrong with a very strong friendship between two guys. It doesn't have to be a gay thing. You may just be overthinking it, but in case you aren't... I think a really good way to suss out how you feel is to imagine him dating someone else. How does that make you feel? Jealous that someone else has him? Happy for him that he finally found someone? Indifferent? Now imagine yourself dating him... not sexual stuff specifically, but hugs and kisses and cuddles and waking up next to him in the morning and normal relationship stuff. How would that make you feel?
