Oh shit sorry. I forgot to mention that my boyfriend is deaf and uses ASL to communicate. I'm still learning and so far most of my conversations in ASL have been with him. Maybe his interpreter or one of his deaf friends, but not always.
Several people coming to the party are going to be using it, so I'm a little worried about how well I'll cope with talking to more than one or two people at a time.

He's said something like that to me before. My ASL is shit, but it's slowly getting better. It never occurred to me until I started learning it, but a ton more goes into it than just learning the signs and using them. Like when I was learning to fingerspell, my hand would bounce all over the place which would make it hard to follow what I was saying. So I've learned that I have to cup my elbow in my other hand to avoid bouncing everywhere like an idiot. I've gotten a lot better about not doing it.
