The only REALLY GOOD comic, both by lgbt webcomics and even regular ones, was TJ and Amal. It was amazing both plot-wise and art-wise, and the homo was good, but did not make the comic by itself.
Gunnerkig is good as well, but it's mostly because of its drawings and surrealism, not its lgbt couples or themes.
ART isn't that great, but it gives what it promises.
TOY was actually like ART quality-wise in the old days, but since a long year and more it became cuddleporn.

Dude, i may have sounded pretentious, and maybe i am, but that's EXACTLY why these comics aren't objectively good, and most of us don't find them good.
the great majority of these pages are either boring or simply badly made, be it for the drawings (kinda rarely) or for the writing/pacing (often) by COMIC BOOK standards.
If you apply that to webcomic standards it's 1 entertaining update on 4, which is definetly not good.
TJ and Amal too had panels (many in sequence actually) that had nothing important or flashy going on.
But guess fucking what? They were either gorgeously drawn OR were placed and paced with skill. Seriously, a page where it's just TJ looking outside a window is better than a fucking setup in other mediocre lgbt webcomics.
And most importantly, TJ and Amal worked both as a "read it all at once" AND as a webocmic. It's living proof that good lgbt web+comics, hell, good webcomics in general, can be made, but with effort, skill and passion.
Find me another lgbt webcomic that has these 3 elements in it together. You can't.

The only thing that really fits that is Fritz Fargo, since its a character study and not really a romance. It gets unfairly left out of good /wcg/ comic discussions, dispite having well realized characters, intreasting plot turns, takels heavy shit and molds drama and humor together smoothly. Even if you don't like the art style, every page obviously has a ton of effort and thought put into it.
TJ and Amal is great, not just for a gay webcomic, but its a amazing book in its own right. Its not fair to expext everything else in /wcg/ to be up to its level, the vast majority of these comics are made for free by young amateurs. TJ and Amal is a real rarity all around.
