I'm a tranny and I drove across the United States alone. I didn't have any issues the entire time. If people noticed I was trans, they never said a word, that or they just couldn't tell. Regardless, the vast majority of people, even in stereotypically "redneck" Bible-belt regions aren't going to do or even say shit. And this includes having to stop at truck stops, motels, convenience shops, restaurants and other places several times along the way.
Despite what Hollywood horror movies or the liberal media promotes, you are in no danger whatsoever. However, I always carry weapons. You should at least invest in pepper spray and a knife.
