That doesn't change the fact that killing is generally only considered legally justified if done in self-defense, or at least defense of others. Like, if someone is trying to kill your family but not you, then killing them is justified. Likewise, if they're committing a form of theft that can somehow not be undone once they're arrested (say, stealing and completely destroying important documents), then maybe killing is justified. But theft by itself does not justify killing.
