I kinda burned out of chemistry and didn't want to pursue it any further. You need a masters or a PhD to get anywhere in the field, and I hated research. Honestly if you want to learn to code and just want a practical education in programming then the trade school route is probably a good one, I like how hands on it is and can definitely recommend it.
