I was in a similar spot mentally for a very long time. All it took for me to feel certainty about my sexuality was the simplest act of intimacy with a guy I thought I just wanted to be friends with. We were in a casual group setting together when a bi guy that I was infatuated with rested his hand on my back for a few minutes, it could have been misinterpreted as simply friendly, then he put his hand on top of my leg in a way that couldn't be misinterpreted as friendly.
