Oh fuck off with that... There's plenty of trans people who've never attempted suicide (may have contemplated it but never attempted) and the same can be said for people who suffer from clinical depression.
Me, I've contemplated suicide countless times and I've begged to have been killed countless times.. but I don't have the stomach to actually commit suicide because I don't want to put that burden onto my friends and family because I'm not some selfish self-centered cunt.

you don't have to be mentally ill to be trans, this isn't the 1950s anymore, trans is not a diagnosis, it's an identity. if you feel like the opposite gender, you are trans, you don't need a diagnosis for it or to castrate/sterilize yourself in the process. this is 2015.
