Why is the middle east okay with trannies but not gays?

I would assume it's because they generally actually believe that you can be born in the wrong body and it doesn't boil down to biology. Not hatin' on transgender peeps. I do find it odd that they seem to be ok with transgender people but not homosexuals. I think it's just a more 'faith/religious' thing.

Because Muslim holy texts (Quran and beyond) generally have almost nothing but bad things to say about homosexuality but are more ambiguous in relation to transgender issues.

Unlike Christians, Muslims actually follow their holy book. And their holy book tells them to love everyone so long as they don't sin at all and they're Muslim. Since nowhere in their holy book does it say that being transgender is a sin, they're ok with it if you're a guy.
If you're a woman, it's more iffy. Since to them they can just hold you down and impregnate you whether you're happy or not, enjoying it or not.
Their "preachers" are just random guys chosen for how good they are at memorizing and reciting their holy book. Not like in the U.S., where maybe 2% of any sermon by any preacher is a direct quote from the bible and all of the rest is their own stupid bullshit opinions.

Turkey's gay rights aren't much different from USA, and 98% of population there are Muslims. It's also a secular country. Ironically the worst Islamist beliefs and extremists come from the countries that were fucked up by westerners. Afghanistan didn't have such strong attitude against gays and pretty much everything til the 90's when fundamentalist movement got in power, and bin Laden was USA's ally during Cold War.

You're basing this on what? Their younger generation is getting less and less religious, now to the it's more like what Christianity is to most Europeans: relaxed and "I follow it when it suits my tastes". However this is also why there's more prominent conservatives in OLDER generation who are worried about this "liberal wave".

Note how Deuteronomy is Jewish law (They don't accept J. Chr. as their Lord and Saviour, so they don't have the New Testament), and New Testament stuff is Christian canon, because the death of Jesus had saved us from the Original Sin, and allowed men to enter Heaven. And thus the Death of Jesus had lifted Old Testament laws, and replaced them with New Testament ones.
Also, Galatians 3:28 is about equality, and it doesn't deny gender itself. (See 1Gen)
Mt 6:28 says do not worry about money (and material stuff in general). It does not say anything about transness.
In general, the Bible does not say anything about transness, except Dt 22:5
And in the eyes of the clergy MtFs are men, and FtMs does not compute, so in the eyes of God, MtF is an abomination, regardless of the severity (cd, sissy, trap, drag, MtF).
Note: FtM cross-dressing is not an abomination, since in western society, women are free to wear whatever they want. Also FtM is not an abomination, because women are free to dress as masculine as they want, and men fap to lesbian porn.

It's not so much that they are okay with trannies. They just believe that HRT and SRS are a cure for extreme cases of homosexuality. If praying the gay away through the teachings of the Koran doesn't work then they feel that becoming women is the only cure left for what they view as gay men who are extremely feminine. In the eyes of which particular Christian denomination? Catholics? Because I'm fairly certain I've heard the opposite from the clergy of other Christian groups.
