How do you guys dress?
Right now I just started HRT and I'm trying to find ways to "own" being a trans girl rather than just slapping make up and a dress on and saying "I'm a stunning and brave woman shitlords"

every day I wear the same thing; a t-shirt, jeans, and a hollowed out dead look in the eyes
I dress dependent on the weather, my mood, and where I am going. I suppose that must seem crazy.

i dress pretty modestly
cutoff shorts+tanks/tees in the summer
Jeans/jeggings + sweaters/hoodies/blouses and jackets in the spring winter and fall
dresses/skirts/blouses for special occasions.
my advice is look at what other cis girls wear for general everyday stuff. find a style you like and emulate it.

I've worked in a clothing store for the last two years in a position which lets me eagle-eye cute stuff as it hits its lowest price.
A cis girl with my body type (small bust and waist; wide hips) might dress to reduce the visual impact of the hips (at least, that's what most clothing guides recommend). I do the opposite, since I wanna draw as much attention as possible to my most visibly feminine feature. So lighter-colored tops and darker-colored bottoms, plunging necklines, A-lines, all that jazz. It works pretty well.
I'm a textbook winter, so color coordination is pretty simple. Just about the only stuff I own that isn't blue, black, white, or gray is underwear or pajamas.
I'm not great at makeup and I've designated my hair to be a lost cause, but I am damn good with my clothing.
