Hi everyone. Does it annoy anyone else that all the trans people we see in the media are ugly hons? It would be really nice for the trans community if there were some young, well adjusted, passing trans women (or ftms), in the mainstream media. I feel like all these old hons like the Kardashian fuck aren't really helping trans people by coming out. It gives everyone this idea that trans people are just old men wearing a dress.
The goal is to pass as a woman not socially out myself as trans so I'm labeled as such the rest of my life. I imagine that most passing trans women feel this way.
After you're stealth for a few years you don't really think about being trans (dysphoria aside; srs helps)

There are several trans celebrities that would not be considered "old hon's" well maybe "old" by the juvenile mentality but you really don't see too much of them because they are well adjusted, fitting in, and not really being made a big deal out of because they do not have the "HEY, HEY, LOOK AT ME I NEED ATTENTION" mentality that sadly is so prevalent on here nor the incessant need to compare yourself and be "better" than everyone else.Grow up, worry about yourself and maybe you wouldn't get all the crap and hate that the trans community tends to get.

I was in London during pride once and a cis girl said that exact same thing to her friend as they pointed to the hon across the street, totally ignoring the fact that I was one foot away from them and they had to look past me :D
Passing and living as a girl is extremely important for cis acceptance.
when we see a young pretty transgirl every girl knows she's had catcalls and weird guys approach her, or even touch her inappropriately, this is a normal part of female life.
The same trans girl probably has some besties and is used to non sexual friendships with the same gender, ie. they appear to have a female life that cisgirls can identify with and relate to and they assume the trans girl has always been a girl.
Then there's the late transitioner, clearly doesn't pass so immediately they are just a guy who has lived a guy life up to that point.
People in public know they don't pass but humor them and call them ma'am, the hon believes they pass and is getting treated like a woman, women might even walk up to her and complement her dress or wig etc in order to learn more about why the guy is in the dress, like a bet or mental breakdown or something, here's were it gets weird.....
With the attention and curiosity she receives, mostly all positive, she's having a great experience at the "female life" getting more positive attention for being a girl, far far more than a younger transitioner, she's making friends and is a member of the community.
One experience is more authentic and should be voiced more, the younger are going to make the most waves, the older transitioners are being given a big voice now because they are far more weirder (less like girls) than a trans teenager, its better TV ratings.

I was frequently called a faggot before transition and had tranny thrown at me a few times in early transition.
