Well, it's definitely not the same for everyone. I'd describe it as being kind of similar to bipolar for comparison, but not really. I go through extreme phases of depression, to euphoria, to extreme paranoia/anxiety. But mostly I feel absolutely nothing. 80% of the time. Just absolutely void, nothing.
I lose interest in people pretty fast. I had 2 long term relationships to start, then they just keep going by quicker and quicker it feels. All my relationships since have been rocky because of it.
Sometimes I have problems holding my identity as well. Not like multi-personality. But my sexuality/view of myself/world changes day by day. Almost with a change of clothes.
There's more to it, but basically I'm a fucked up roller coaster. With social disorders on top of it. probably developed because of my social disorder, actually. Started around age 13-14 abouts.

Something I have to work on myself. So far I've only had limited success. But better than nothing. It developed over time, it will take time to fix it.
But I am still young. So I have time to spare. I'd rather have gratification later with no strings, than instant gratification with side effects.

I started cutting at age 14. My father was abusive and my mother was dead. I was alone, I hated myself and everyone and I wanted to express my emotions in a way that would provide relief. It seemed as though everyone would get mad if I destroyed anything else but wouldn't get mad if I got hurt. Cutting provided relief. Besides the chemical effect, it was as if I had hit rock bottom, a catastrophic checkpoint that was a good excuse to wipe everything clean and start over with a clear mind. I cut between my eyes across my face and made deep tally marks on my arm.
Perhaps I was also calling out for help. I usually only cover my scars when authorities will bother me over them or I'm having fun playing broken doll/sick girl.
I also felt like I was bringing out my true image to the surface. This was a big reason why I cut my face. I had gone over all of my scars several times, but they still spread to my chest, face, and down to my legs.
After a while, I liked cutting. I liked blood, pain. I can cut on command, even if I'm not in distress. I also like the way it looks. I have deep tally marks on my left forearm, left upper arm, a flurry across my chest, two on my neck, a healing gap on my cheek, three on my right hip, a ring around my left thigh, two deep ones on my right outer thigh, and tally marks on my right calf.

huh. i guess so. i dont know why i find this surprising. ive been let down by modern american movies so bad lately that i cant muster up any hope to see a movie, unless it has a particular angle, or i heard a good review from someone i trust. i probably would not make a good film critic, just because i would get frustrated inevitably. its hard enough for me to sit my ass down for an hour and a half watching something. maybe i dont like movies as a medium as much as other people do.
