gender is a social construct, so yes, nonbinaries are real.

Gender is a spectrum, but with the vast majority of people much closer to pure femininity or pure masculinity than they are to the center. People who don't have a strong identification with either gender are still leaning either male or female. It doesn't make sense to me to identify as agender or bigender or whatever the fuck instead of just as a feminine guy or masculine girl.
I'm willing to admit that maybe the above is me needing to check my privelege, but I'm adamant that genderfluid is just flat out bullshit. An identity is something that's persistent over time. If something as fundamental as your gender changes every day then you belong in a psych ward and should probably be treated for multiple personality disorder

I go to school with a girl who identifies as being both "straight" and "genderfluid." If you are "sometimes male" or whatever, and are attracted to men, how the fuck are you "straight?"

Possibly they're attracted to the opposite of whatever they are at a given time. Alternatively, a lot of nb people define their orientation based on either their assigned sex or whichever gender they're "closest" to. Though I still think it really just makes more sense to say "I like men" or "I like women" as that doesn't depend on your own gender.
I want to see persistence of behavior over decades, a biological model for development, and a case size of at least 0.5% of the overall population before I'm willing to accept any deviance from expected sexual and gender configurations. That's just proper and rational skepticism. Trans in a binary system (or at least a gradient system with two poles) passes these rather low standards. An example of population, showing symptoms through out basically all of recorded history, and sourced in an intersex configuration of the brain is provable and reasonable. This fad nonsense, so far, ain't.
