It is socially considered uncouth. It's considered a sign of disrespect to go out fucking that soon. You guys weren't communicating what you wanted. The whole point of a relationship is that you can feel open, supported and loved with others. It sounds like you were truly bothered by the condition of your sex life, though you never addressed the issue directly.
