.300 AAC Blackout Pistol, is this suitable hog gun?
As someone with a 300blk SBR, consider another caliber.
They make for fun subsonic plinkers, but if hunting is your intended usage with supers you can still have a much broader effective hunting range with 6.8.
Now if you want to stick with 300blk to hunt with, go with a 16" rifle and plan on shooting a lot of 110gr barnes. The extra barrel is worth an extra 200-300fps which counts for harvesting.
Even with the extra barrel you drop below 1000 ftlbs just beyond 100yards which is right in line with heavy 5.56 loads for energy which begs the question why you are shooting 300blk in the first place..
By comparison, 6.8SPC will push a barnes 95gr TTSX to ~2900fps which gets you to almost 200 yards before you drop below 1000 ftlbs.
Yes hogs are varmints, but you are still hunting. Bring enough gun if nothing else to help make sure you don't have to track them far if at all.

Except 6.8 sucks

Because penetration > energy
Especially on large animals like hogs

So does .300 BLK, so what's your point.
The answer is 6.5 Grendel, OP.

>that charging handle location
Muh dick
Not sure how you'd mount a notstock to the rear though
Don't know of anyone who makes a rail mounted buffer tube or similar
Would be dank if someone made a Para FAL type stock

>6.5 meme
Just get a 308 and be done with it, OP
You could buy a half decent FAL for what one of those things goes for
Well I was looking at getting a .223 pistol, but everyone in the thread suggested getting a .30 cal intermediate round instead to make up for the shorter barrel...

The rear rail can be removed for a buffer tube adapter so you can mount an AR style stock.

It CAN be, but you'd need a suppressor and Lehigh (IIRC) Maximum Expansion rounds. It's an effective combo, based on what I've seen on MAC/IV888.

Don't get a pistol then, fag.

>no fucking stock
>warning do not fire the lar-pds with a sound suppressor
>defeating the entire point of .300 blk
yeah, no
>>29822451
>half decent
>not hunting boars with your sbr loaded with 600grn 12.7x42 rounds
Disappointed tee bee aytch famski
>>29823078
Think the mpx stock COULD fit, maybe

>Limiting yourself to AR15 bolt strength
You know you want that .460 power
>>29823683
Why would you need a suppressor and why would you use subsonic rounds? Am I being memed on?

Nah, 6.5 PCC. No mag cap loss, no bolt fuckery, similar ballistics to Grendel with a 2" barrel difference (22"PCC=20"Grendel). .300blk-level of hardware investment, but superior velocity and energy retention.
Wow such tactical rail on bottom wow such bipod while shooting clouds

Suppressors are good for boar hunting because it confuses the shit out of the boar. When you start shooting them with suppresssed subsonics, they'll scatter, but a decent amount of them will come towards you. With unsuppressed rounds, they'll all just run away.
