Why does anyone like these overrated memeguns?
>OMG D00D IT'S DA BEST AK VARRIENT
>has zero experience with them
>muh cancer animays :DDD so u know its good :DDD
>fugg le spurdo sparde :DDDD

The only time someone here has hands on experience with these things is being a fuck fuck conscript in the finnish army when they were 18 and nothing more.

It's just as bad as the rabid svd and vss fanboyism

As a Finn I agree. They are overengineered, soulless and boring. Also not practical at all to mount optics.

Lmao @ at everyone who owns a Sako as reservist rifle instead of Arsenal, Saiga, etc for 1/3 or even 1/4 for the price. Even traitor 5.56 AR15 owners are better.

Finnish small arms production is sold overseas and dead. Galil > ValMet/Sako

Also get the fuck out of this board Finns or don't namedrop Finland every fucking second.
If you own firearms then OK, but don't spout your conscript "knowledge" mixed with tacticool video games, chances are you only touched 'salt rifles in your 6 month service as a laundryman.

No they're not. Those things sit tight, and you literally need to use a tool to adjust them.

I kept getting high scores with my #624763 on each range visit. Had no problems hitting a man-sized jantteri targets at 300m with irons.

here's ur (You).
Even Ivan thinks RK are cool, and everyone jerks to Galil.

Personally I just love the aesthetics. It may in fact be a piece of shit to operate, but goddamn does it look sexy while doing it.

>It may in fact be a piece of shit to operate
as one of the spurdo fags who carried one for a whole year, several years ago, and now owns my own funs (including a chink AKM), I'd say the RK rifles are very fine guns to operate.

The action's smooth, the reliability's on par with the AKs, and there's those few small changes in the design of some of the parts and way the gun is disassembled, that make it feel a lot better than your typical "AK-47".

One can argue about how effective the RK-62's diopter sights are in actual combat, but that shit makes the guns super accurate when zeroed correctly. RK-95's flippable peep-sights are pretty much the same as on M16.

Can the action cycle properly when covered with mud?
>>
>>29468833

Can someone explain why people keep asking this?

500,000 soldiers in Vietnam were somehow able to keep their rifles out of the rice paddies. What's wrong with your hands, anon?
>>
>>29468313
They are nicer to use than regular AKs.

I agree with you that the Galil is a better rifle and also on the SVD/VSS fanboyism. The SVD is a piece of shit.

>>29468833
It has tighter tolerances than AK so go figure.

The typical age to enter military service is 19 YO, so you got that wrong as well, but as not bad rest of your shit-post. I did military service in age 21 - 22 and the brand-new (manufactured just 2 years earlier and not issued before) RK 62 that I got proved so excellent that due to it I shifted from civilian shooting sports to reservist shooting sports (started shooting in age 13 - and got my first firearms in age 18). Once I ended my military service service I got Sako 92S and joined reservists. Two decades later I have also several AR-15 and bunch of other "reservist rifles", but 92S is still one of my favorites. Although Finnish factory ammo prices are just ridiculous nowadays, which is why i most shoot AR's now.

Event: PA3
- Distance: 150 meters
- Shooting position: Prone with magazine support only.
- Number of rounds: 10
- Target: Finnish military small arms target 03, 10-ring diameter 4 inches, other rings 2-inches wide.

My personal records:
- RK 62: 95/100 points
- Sako 92S: 98/100 points
Two of my friends have done 100/100 points with 92S several times, including national service rifle championships few years back. While back I took part in PA1 competition arranged by local military base with standard issue RK 62 rifles taken from armory - the winner shot 100/100, 2nd place 99/100 etc.

Several of my friends served with UN. Finnish troops have a proud tradition of winning practically every single falling plate competition ever arranged for UN troops - with RK 62 and RK 95TP.

RK 62 was designed in late 1950's - feel free to list standard issue military service rifles from that era to which it was easy to install optics. RK 95TP and Sako 92S have been planned for side rail system that allows optics - it is not the rifles fault that most of the optics mounts that FDF has issued are pretty horrible.
>>
Daily reminder that 1913 rails didn't exist until the 80s and weren't standardized until 95.

That said the RK62/RK95 is a fat pig.

Close the safety/selector switch and the rifle is pretty well sealed. Also little bit of mud getting inside the receiver is likely not really a real problem either - there is plenty of empty room inside the receiver and the moving parts have enough energy do their thing even if there is some dirt in there.

The selector/safety-switch of my RK 62 once accidentally turned open while I was crawling through "Sahara" (practice field of soft sand - many of Finnish military bases seem to have one) with the rifle. Hence a good fistful of fine sand got inside the receiver. Once we have done the crawling we did some shooting - the rifle worked perfectly regardless the sand.

Typo: Event should be PA1 (palvelusammunta 1 / service shooting 1).
