>holy fuck there are a fuck load of mall ninja'd AKs on the rack.
>notice the $850 price tag as I'm walking up. Cool, maybe it's the RH10, haven't seen one yet.
>"RAS47"

What the fuck? Think of all the poor fucks who are going to buy these not even realizing that it's going to literally fall apart with a few thousand rounds through it. And for pretty fucking close to the price of an Arsenal, and $200 more than a WASR-10.

Why has the market for AK's gotten so ridiculous? When will an American company make an AK worth a fuck finally?
>>
>>29444531

Yawn. The best you can do?
>>
>>29444531
>When will an American company make an AK worth a fuck finally?
When they can compete with labor costs of second world Slavic suffering factories.

So never. IO and Century try to take the Remington route, by using utter shit materials and QC in order to compete with China and the Eastern Bloc(AKs)/Turkey (shotguns).

If you want an AK shop that gives a shit you're going to get a kit build off Atlantic. Destructive Devices Industries? Arsenal? You get the point.

Unsurprisingly by the time you do that you're around the cost of a mid-tier AR15.

Honestly, I don't know why they can't just have forged trunions and barrels made in Mexico for cheap, then assemble them here and still put a decent rifle together while saving cost on quality materials.
>>
>>29444682
I'm sure its a fine rifle, but god it looks like a tactifudd abortion.

Magpul AK furniture is just depressing.

>he thinks the SEDENA oligopoly that controls the Mexican arms industry would EVER allow a factory to start churning out AK parts

>when they have one of the most rampant gun control failed experiments of the Western Hemisphere and ISIS-style beheadings as normal life at their border with fucking Texas

You think they haven't tried, Anon? The only Mexican guns we get thanks to NAFTA are Maverick 88 pump actions.

The last two photos of the riced out Magpul stuff was mine (OP here). Honestly, I like the handguard a lot and made shooting it more comfortable over the normal furniture. I don't like them nearly enough to put them on my Arsenal though. If anything I'll pony up the money for a Zenit handguard for it. The Moe stock is OK, but how it mounts to the receiver is flimsy and not thought out very well. The Magpul stuff is perfectly OK for what most people are going to use these for, and can be easily returned to stock or changed for something else. Nothing can be done when your fucking rifle explodes in your face though.

So what company would be the best to get an ak from? Id prefer something like in pic related but it almost seems like you cant get away with an ak without some retarded furniture piece "IE pistol grip/hand guard" or rail.
help Comrades?
>>
>>29444944
You aren't going to find a Type 2, full auto AK anywhere for less than what it would cost to buy many nicer rifles; I think I know what you're getting at though. Buy a WASR.
>>
>>29444944
In no particular order...

The AK isn't a great platform to build off of anyway. It's pretty much the final evolution of the Moist Nugget. Simple enough for the most retarded potato farmer to use and abuse, but pretty meh otherwise.
>>

arsenal. Either that or the c39v2 is decent/

I'm waiting for the suppressor ready arsenals coming this summer.
>>
>>29444987
He doesn't want retarded looking pistol grips, which I can understand.
>>
>>29445101
The WASR comes with a standard black AKM pistol grip still doesn't it? If he doesn't like that beautiful examples of bakelite ones can be found on APEX and elsewhere usually for less than $10 and take all of a minute or two and a flat head screwdriver to change.

this. I would hate having wood hand guards and stocks but with a shitty plastic ergo grip.
If im going to have something replicating a ak47 why not have it like it was originally designed to be?
>>29445119
true but I dont understand why ak companies dont make a basic ak modeled off the original design like many companies do with the 1911
I mean it shouldn't be too fucking hard to make something like this and make it 922r comp if they can make them as mall ninja as they do now.

Good point.
>>29445220
Phenolic resin is extremely bad for the environment it is made in, I think that's why no one makes it in the U.S. anymore, that and even the prettiest AK PGs are still very cheap(Polish orange from APEX); also if you're trying to go for correctness you want an AKM not a AK-47, at least I hope that's what you mean or you're talking about a whole different level of cost.
>>

the originals were stamped though wernt they?

I liked the AK the most, I've sold those all at this point. $250 for the Ishevsk '42 Mosin, $650 for the '50 Tula SKS, $1200 for the Saiga, ohhh the profits, the delicious profits.

I kept that when I sold the AK, for a future rifle, feels great in the hand; it was easy to make you should make one of you like it. I know there's a picture of it on my sisters hideous AK on this computer somewhere I'll post it if I can find it.

American guns have gotten to the point that American cars have been at for years. Obscene prices for Chinese quality. If you want a good gun, you need to go foreign.

ok now I know where your coming from so let me backtrack then if I may. just looking at the wiki and yeah i ment the type 1 1948/49 that were stamped but with weird side screw in wood grips into a metal frame for the grip.

although going from here the type 3 doesn't look so bad ether
just looking for an ak with wood on all furniture pieces and no rail really just needs to be basic bitch plain with no crust please :D
thanks

>>
>>29445418
Ok, so I'm admitting to criminal levels of faggotry here, but I like it. Where did the cut away mag come from, or did you make it?
>>
>>29445605
My sister made it, it's hers. I did show her how though, all you need is an angle grinder, a thin blade for it, and a steady hand; a dremel would work too but would be much slower, if you want it to be smooth some files and emery cloth would be a good idea. She later welded on that +10 extension we had laying around from when she made a 20rd from one of our 30rd Romanian mags.

I'm convinced they're intentionally pushing these JUST IN CASE some shit happens in the US then the opposition will have shitty guns.

Too many instances of these shitting within 100-250 rounds for them to still be marketed they way they are.
>>
>>29447329
A-Ok with that, it's sad to know a mosin will be better then newer guns.

Century will keep making modifications to the design and manufacturing process until they end up with a good American made AK.

So essentially, every neckbeard who buys a RAS-47 is funding making a better US made AK, which is fine.
