They just indoctrinated you to think you had rights. They showed you the pieces of paper that said you have rights, without showing you the countless thousands of pieces of paper that say how those rights are restricted.
Your "rights" are restricted in every possible way so that if you ever take advantage of your rights you'll be in the wrong. Then you will lose those rights. Rights you never got to enjoy.
