Recently recieved a cz model 83 as a christmas gift but dont have mags, some people want as much as 50 a pop for them, are they really that scarce? If not where is the best place to get them at a fair price?

C83 is a pretty superb carry piece, get some of those solid copper bullets and it'll make up for a lot of the slack the .380 has compared to 9mm Luger.
But even if you don't carry it, it's a sweet shooter.

Disassemble the mag release, clean and polish the mechanism surfaces that make contact. You can also take the spring to a grinder and lightly remove material all around the outer portion. Just shove something tiny through it to act as a dowel and lightly hold it against the grinder and let the spring spin around the dowel. Check it often for changes.
