Friend posted this on facebook, can you tell me what the fuck he did to that poor gun?

He's acquired a race gun.
A Strayer-Voigt by the looks of it, pretty nice.
>>
>>30667886
Oh so all that serves a legitimate purpose?
>>
>>30667881
Is this some kind of troll? Those things are expensive as shit...and apparently pretty fucking great.
>>
>>30667897
Yes.
>>
>>30667900
Sorry no, just my ignorance showing.
>>
it's a competitive gun, OP. those things are modified like crazy
>>
>>30667881
Race guns don't have to be compact or overall practical, they just need to be very accurate and user friendly in a controlled range environment.
>>
The shit on the bottom there is a holster of sorts.
>>
>>30667881
Weird holster thing is for better draw times. Wierd Red dot is mounted like an AK optic, off the side of the frame so you dont lose the dot as the slide cycles.

neat, thanks

Won't lie, i thought it was mounted like that so the dindu could aim properly whilst holding the gun in a comically stertypical fashion.
>this is my bais, it is mine and i am ashamed.
>>
>>30668996
Those are C-More sights.
Pretty popular in the bad old days before Aimpoint T-1/T-2's and Trijicon RMR's.
>>
>>30667881
he bought a race gun in preparation for the race war
>>
>>30667881
It's a race gun, built for competition.

C-Mores are still pretty popular for various reasons with competition shooters. That's a 90 degree mount. It gets the dot closer to the slide vs having it "straight".

OP's pic isn't the latest and greatest either. the more serious guys have metal grips and full-length dust covers, plus MBX mags. and most guys are using DAA holsters, then the CR Speed he's got, with some Ghost holsters too.

its nice to see anyone admitting when they dont know something instead of bullshitting.
atleast half the time, anon comes for help, gets it, then gets butthurt or defensive over some stupid shit.
